Heartily Eid Mubarak to all the Muslims...
Well... It is
Eid ul Fitar. A day of enjoyment after one month of fasting. One can offer this eid prayer on second day, if not possible on 1st., due to reasons. Where as on Eid ul Azha...one can offer the prayer for three consecutive days.
'Eid' is Arabic word which means a day which comes back again. 'Fitar' or 'Fitrana' is a fix amount given to the poor by the people who observe fast in Ramadan. Infect it is required only from the people who r 'sahib e nisaab' (having a particular amount of reserves in hand), but it is appreciated that it should be paid by all the people who observe fast as it fills any deficiencies committed in fasts according to Hadith of the Prophet.
Not necessary to pay on the eid day only
but whole life is the time period. But this financial aid should be given to the really poor people in neighborhood to join the eid pleasure together ...and not to the professional beggars.
Additionally... six days of fasts in the month of Shawal are 'nafal' i.e. not compulsory or obligatory. But one, who does it, gets sawab (reward) of one year fasting according to the Hadith. It is not correct that these fasts should be kept consecutive six days after eid day. Infect one can keep them in whole month of Shawal with intervals as convenient.
Again
eid wishes with best of health and happiness. May Allah Almighty bless Pakistan and the whole Islamic world and give strength to the Ummah of the Prophet Mohammad
