Egyptian "Sukhoi-35" fighters will have a Russian super missile

The Russian and international media recently reported on the entry into force of a contract to supply the Egyptian army with Russian "Sukhoi-35" fighters.

Although this deal aroused great resentment on the American side, and despite Washington's pressure on Cairo, Egypt was determined to possess these fighters, because it has a great deal of power that would represent a strong leap for the Egyptian Air Force.

It is known that these fighters are the most powerful interceptor fighter known to date, and were specially designed to control the airspace and prevent other fighters from being in the sky, but the distinctive feature of these fighters is that they possess a super missile that has no counterpart yet.

This fighter possesses the winged missile "Kh-59MK2", which is a tactical missile for fixed targets with a range of 550 km for the Russian version, and less than 300 km for the export version, equipped with a warhead weighing 700 kg, with a speed of 1000 km per hour.

These missiles are anti-ground targets guided by inertia and then the active radar with an electro-optical system to identify the target and increase the accuracy of the hit with an error rate of 3 - 5 meters.

These missiles possess a highly destructive super warhead, and they are fired from a height of 200-11 thousand meters at a flying speed of 550-1100 km / h max.

The EAF has been tossing Russian cruise missiles since the dawn of time, lol. First started in the late 60's with the Tu-16 Badger and the AS-5-Kelt Cruise missiles with an operational range of 200km. The EAF fired 25 of 2 variants of this cruise missile in the October War of 1973.

Now it can add the X-59MK2 on the Su-35s to compliment the SCALPs on the Rafales. I believe the EAF also put in a request for the hypersonic R-37M missile with an operational range also of 300 km.
