Egypt has apparently ordered 46 Ka-52 attack helicopters for its air force, but has yet to order the Ka-52K variant for its navy. Source: Russian Helicopters
The first Kamov Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters being built for export will be delivered in 2017, according to a report posted on the official website of Russia's Primorsky Krai region, the home of the Progress Arsenyev Aviation Company that makes the helicopter.
The report said the export order was awarded to Progress by the state arms export agency Rosoboronexport in October 2015. It did not identify the customer, but Egypt is the only country known to have ordered the Ka-52 other than Russia.
"A big contract for the supply of 46 Kamov Ka-52 Alligator helicopters has been signed with Egypt by JSC Rosoboronexport," Alexander Mikheyev, the general director of Russian Helicopters, announced in a New Year statement, according to multiple Russian media reports.
