Algeria's gain in the 80's have never been lost, we have one of the freest press of the region, and the pressure on the government to give more slack is continuous. But there is one thing for sure, there will be no muslim take over as it did in Tunisia, Lybia or Egypt. The dream of a green flag from Egypt to Morocco died a good death in Algeria...
Better to concentrate on your country, it's like your acting like your from Switzerland. When we go against MB, that's because we are directly affected by them, but as for you, you need to act real.

Green or Red flag, the color is not important, what is important is that people find their voice and they have a democratic govt. in place, which does not seem to be the case now.
The UMA is very complex and it was failure from the start, because of the lack of political courage. Its failure had nothing to do with democracy...Changing business laws, improving commercial exchanges, and people movement across borders would have made it a success, since the inhabitant have a lot more in common than differences.Without a democratic govt. it will be difficult to create a Maghreb union as a stepping stone towards a bigger African union. This African Union I believe is something that will be good for all Africans. That is my main area of interest to see "regionalism" (NRA) succeed:
support the Syrian uprising for the same reason, because it will help GCC integrate all Arab people in Asian land mass into a GCC+, help them become self sufficient with their security needs, reduce dependence on outside powers and eventually kick out US bases. This will be good for Iran, China and Russia IMO, but the strategists in these three countries, I guess, have different opinions. Time will tell who is correct.
With Arab Spring success in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, democracy have taken root in North Africa, now it will spread in the rest of the continent, while it will keep evolving. Islamism is a temporary phenomenon and tool that is useful for some situations, it will diminish and will need to be side-lined if Muslim Berber-Arab North Africa has to unite with Christian and Animist black Sub-saharan Africa for their common future.
You are from Bengladesh and you talk about the implementation of a western democracy in a muslim country. What are you smoking? Islam, as it is practiced, teaught and promoted is incompatible with any kind of democracy. Moslem rulers rule their respective countries like they rule their families and the children will go along by respect , even he is senile...Going back to Algeria. Algerian have a voice and they voiced it, whether being heard or not, they will continue to make noise.

GCC? You really think that theses tiny countries can drive the arab world reforms! They are the mean cause of the turmoil that is going thru the arab world. I thing you need to let go of that join....
You call the new Tunisia, Lybia and Egypt a success! The only thing that the arab spring , or more likely a typhoon than a spring , has accomplished is dismembered these three countries, yes liberties were not that great in any of these three, but people has a good and secure life...nobody's house was broken in by security forces, or citizens being dragged from their dwelling. Tunisia was under Ben Ali, a joy to see and a visit. Libyan enjoyed a great life and Egypt was heard and listen to under Moubarek, safe to travel to...See them where they at...Tunisia is time bomb as well as Egypt and Lybia, there is no word that can describe its case!
And You support the Hurricane going thru Syria...
