Egypt protesters defy curfew after emergency rule imposed

The "Arab Spring" is the best thing that ever happened in this region, since a very long time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Human rights are worth the fight. Human rights are the essence for a strong nation.
Look at your own country, its economy is going down, Egypt is getting destroyed.. but anyways that is your country and you know what's best for Egypt... but overall this "Arab" spring only served Israel and the west..

I wish the best for Syria as well.

Wow SL, you're thinking like the French after the Germans conquered in 1940, the officials were going around telling everyone that the Germans would roll over them too, that the French weren't special in any way in having their regime collapse, that it could happen to everybody and would - near total defeatism, they wanted if France should fail that everyone else fail as well.

Go back to fortifying your refuge, SL. And pray the rebels don't decide to employ heavy artillery and bombs.

The MB can play political games but that won't help them govern the country. A 20% endorsement of a Constitution by the electorate doesn't carry legitimacy. They will have to bargain with the opposition for that and yield real power. The danger is that the opposition leaders may fall into the tempting, self-serving trap of power-sharing rather than adhering to democratic values.

Egyptians better realize they are destroying their own country... they should seek change through ballot. Throw out morsi next election.. but dont vandalise property.

there won't be a next election.....or at best, the MB will strengthen their position through this mandate (im guessing 4 years), and the next election will be rigged...

Egyptians are strong, all the best to Um Aldounia and to the people of Egypt.

Egyptians are not like they used to be, funny.

I never laughed so hard as I did when watched this movie the first time.

Algeria's first democratic stirrings failed, but make no mistake, with or without Islamists, the next one will come.

Algeria's gain in the 80's have never been lost, we have one of the freest press of the region, and the pressure on the government to give more slack is continuous. But there is one thing for sure, there will be no muslim take over as it did in Tunisia, Lybia or Egypt. The dream of a green flag from Egypt to Morocco died a good death in Algeria...

make no mistake, with or without Islamists, the next one will come. Dictatorship and Authoritarian govt. is never good for the people and it will not be accepted by the people in the long term. A self appointed dictator govt. do not speak for or represent the people they rule over, they are, in one world, illegitimate.

Except in Arabia and the other Gulf tryannys - god is the Vice president in those places, even a Brince, so it's all cool.

Enough of this rubbish

Morsi is the democratically elected president of egypt so far the muslim brotherhood have won every election and that gives them a democratic mandate to rule

This is just rubbish from the oppositiin fail to win electiins and then cause chos because they cant win through votes

In the future if the secular types win a election why should muslims or the muslim brotherhood accept their rules, policies or dictats why not just cause chos and riot and stop.the goverment from doing its job
most of the protesters dont want him out we want him to keep his promise a constitution that represent all of Egypt he promised that before the elections and that is why he won by 1 percent i dont have any problem with him finishing his 4 years

Egypt is a signatory of the declaration of human rights, in fact Egypt was one of the 48 nations who voted in favor for it. Any law or constitution that doesn't agree with any of it's articles is not recognizable. Out of 50 Egyptians who have the right to vote, 33.5 didn't vote, 10(At least half can't read or write but bribed with money, food to vote) voted in favor, and 6.5 voted against the Constitution. The majority didn't say a thing. The majority rules, but doesn't control the rights of any individual and his/her freedom. When injustice becomes the law resistance is a duty

Your contempt for the democracy in Egypt is so vile that you cannot see that Egypt ruled by a despot signed those treaties, in other words, the majority of Egyptians had no say in that. To a secular hatemonger like you that may be okay but to the majority of Egyptians it is clearly not right.

Yeah, we know who is legitimate' to you! Too bad he's rotting in jail now. BTW, where did you get the '20% endorsement' crap?

Better to concentrate on your country, it's like your acting like your from Switzerland. When we go against MB, that's because we are directly affected by them, but as for you, you need to act real.

Why you support MB in Egypt but not in Jordan?
