Egypt Islamists want sin-free tourism

Sadly this is just the begining..And i honestly believe that this moderate stance was taken because the entire world is watching Egypt..Whats stopping them from implementing wahabi ideology down the line when there is no longer focus on egypt ? I just hope that the people of egypt and armed forces of egypt help in keeping the country moderate in nature..We have all seen proofs how religion mixed with state politics is detrimental to Nation's interests. I hope people realize this.

People are confusing two issues:

-- this law is for tourists. If tourists don't like anything about the destination, they can go elsewhere.
-- the burqa issue is for citizens and permanent residents. Those groups are entitled to pursue/defend their cause through established legal procedures.

I will call this SIN FREE TOURISM as "Egyptian Muslims 's Islamic hypocrisy".

Egypt shouldn't change policy of tourism and shouldn't put some conservative laws.

lol are you really taking what these clowns say seriously? the media just picks up on the most radical opinions from fringe organisations and purports them to be a mainstream view. Tourism is the lifeblood of Egypt's economy, I doubt there would be anything radical done to put this at risk. Even articles like this put tourism in egypt at risk.

No local council in any state , let alone in tourist hot spots disallow drinking in restaurant hotels bars ... Maybe you can't walk around the street with a drink in hand. But you drink away in an establishment.
