And he said (may Allaah have mercy on him): When they [the kuffaar] heard the Qur�aan, they would sing, then this aayah was revealed.

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) �Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing)� � Sufyaan al-Thawri said, narrating from his father from Ibn �Abbaas: (this means) singing. This is Yemeni (dialect): ismad lana means ghan lana [sing to us]. This was also the view of �Ikrimah. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer).

People need to understand if one Muslim did something then that does not mean ALL MUSLIMS are the same, those who are making fun or mocking others, they need to understand that every religion has extremist, and I myself is fine with that as long as they do not cause harm or problems to other. If you have lived with true Muslims you would find Islam something different, you need to live with them to know them, they are peaceful, loving and compassionate, well at least in Syria they are.
So just respect others, because I'm sure every religion has some people who take it too far and extremely, and this is their life, if they don't harm then you have no business with them.
