EFT are produced by UK Germany Spain Italy. But some armaments have US parts like the SCALP and Brimstones. France has changed the american parts with european/french parts for our Air Force so I think Italy or even other countries could do it also.

Like what? Which missile we produce or can replace it?

IMHO, Gripen NG(E/F) might be a much better option for the Egypt. Brazil signed a pretty good deal with a very broad production partnership.

The system itself already has a minimal logistical footprint, has a very competitive initial cost of ownership, and is certified for all NATO munitions and payloads used by the Egyptian Air Force.

Sweden and other scandinavians countries are interested only when the countries have a good "human rights" and plus Egypt doesn't have a lot of political or economical ties with Sweden so I am not sure if they will accept it. But Egypt needs local production that's why we asked for ToT for Thunder and Tejas. Apparently the Thunder deal wasn't "good" for our air force.

Gripen is a $100 million dollar mainstream fighter aircraft, what India is offering is a watered down twin seater derivative of Tejas at a much cheaper rate for advanced training.

Was the problem with the Pakistani bid economic or was it a disagreements in the production model? If you have a post that gives a little more detail on this subject, I would love to read it.

If Misris has nukes, the perfect time to have used them was when Egyptian Third Army was completely routed and encircled by the Israelis in the Yom Kippur/Ramadan war.

Strategically the answer is no because the third army was resisting against the idf and they still fought them till new ceasefire in Jan 1974. The last martyr of this war died in 14 Jan 1974 and he was in the third army. The IDF was also encircled in Egypt also because the army weren't that big but rather small and Egypt was preparing a counter offensive to those forces who crossed the Canal. First they lost in every big cities like Ismailia battle by Ariel Sharon and Suez battle (the last battle of the war) by Adan. They intended to cut the supplies of the 2nd and 3rd army and they failed. The counter offensive was called Operation Shamel

Egypt did exactly what Israel did also. Moshe Dayan wanted use their nuclear bomb and Golda Meir and other generals refused this idea (in the beginning of the war).

@Gomig-21 @The SC can explain in details more about this operation.

But first we must continue and the thread and not ruined it. We can open a new thread about the third army etc... But let's focus in this thread.
