That's because we have the fortune of being geographically connected to China, not to mention Pakistan's geographic location in itself is very important to major powers of the world. Pakistan and Afghanistan are the crossroads of Asia, both countries are rich in mineral resources as well as natural gas, though we haven't exploited our resources and they have remain untouched.

Egypt should strengthen ties with China ASAP, and Russia too, both of these powers are looking to expand their influence in Africa and most importantly the middle east. Egypt should also take advantage of the situation in Libya, exert influence in that country to secure its own interests.

Libya has plenty of oil, and Egypt will need an uninterrupted flow of oil during any future war.

South Korea's economic model is based on the Pakistani economic model of the 1970's, that is until we handed our country over to the extremists. South Koreans sent a delegation to Pakistan in those days to learn our economic model.

Egypt can't do that unless it wants to be viewed as the aggressor and therefore have its military aid which it receives from US cut off. Any indication of war from Egypt's side will alert Washington to cut off military supplies to Egypt.

The 1948 War was started by Arabs to destroy Israel but since then, all the other wars have either been started by Israel, Foreign Powers, or Arabs fighting to take thier land back.

The 1956 War was started by France, England and Israel when Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal.

The 1967 War was started by Israel after it bombed the Egyptian Air Force when the Soviets tricked the Arabs into a regional war with Israel to demonstrate Soviet military equipment superiority over western ones that Israel was armed with.

The 1973 War was started by Egypt and Syria to retake the Sinai and Golan.

And since then, no major regional war.

Egypt knows full well it cannot defeat Israel in a major war and Israel has nuclear weapons should that eventuality ever arise.

And not only that, Israel can bomb the Aswan Dam and flood half of Egypt.
