I can understand that in some media circles the loss of an archaeological site is more upsetting than the loss of Turks, but the fact that this news is being shared here while thousands of our people are still under the rubble makes my chest heavy. I wish not one but all castles had collapsed and our sons and daughters had not died.

I donated thru my company usig CNN, they send aid direct to Doctors without borders cutting out middlemen.My posting that - was to simply highlight the sheer strength/scale of the current earthquake where structures that have stood for eons, seen many earthquakes before and survived - but did not survive this one. I should have added some commentary on my intent i guess.
Been watching BBC all day - horrific videos coming out now.
