DRDO says it has capability to produce VVIP choppers

You didnt even read the whole news but started barking... he said as we developed alh and lch we can develop awa101 as well bur not feasable now for.small num. drdo and indian made weapons are many way far better and lower in cost than foreign maals. in that way china should never induct a single.chinese made weapon... nor they had a MIC.

I did read the whole piece. So what DRDO is saying is that after the airframe is made and all parts integrated into the aircraft/helicopter, they could not customize it for 'VVIP' use with decent cost up? Were they making combat helicopters without armour and other technologies to start new research for VVIP helicopters? Why do they need a whole production line? If it takes a little bit more money for making the lesser number so be it.

Hence the reason is obviously that the leaders of this country do not have confidence in this organization. Not(just) because they expect kickbacks.

It is not me who is concerned about the quality of DRDO's production. Only DRDO would make a behemoth Arjun when the requirements given are to make a light tank. Years worth of airtime was spent on tv channels for the criticism of DRDO.

If Indians have a low perception of things produced here, then please don't blame the common man. DRDO had what three decades to correct this?
