DRDO radies for SLBM test

. .
Give some proof or source otherwise nobody will believe you.

Some how he is true. Read the news it says that the K-15/K-4 will be tested from Andhra coast instead of premier test range ITR at Chndipur. They might have underwater platform in Andhra not Orissa. So K series ie SLBMs are tested from there.

. .
best luck to our scientists. may our SLBM be successful.

India has master the Ballistic missile technology... Its leading in cruise missile as well...

The thing missing is
1. long range SAM...

hope India will achieve complete dominance in that technology as well...

Barak-NG is a long range SAM under development. One test already conducted. DRDO developed the flexible dual pulse rocket with with siliconised carbon jet vanes and actuators for the missile as well as other systems while Israel mainly developed the guidance system and control segment.

Also AAD has potential to be a long range SAM.

I am more eagerly waiting for the Nirbhay Missile with an expected range of 1000kms do u know any further developments Kinetic on this???

As far as I remember, according to reports Nirbhay will take time. The subsystems including the propulsion system has been developed and the missile is in system integration stage. A TEL also under development. Mock up of the missile will be there in Aero India 2011. I think first test firing will be in 2012 only.

Would someone mind doing a spell check to the name of the thread

But my question is, why don't they do it at sea from the submarines. Launching from see will have different parameters than launching from land.
If the missile is built to launch beneath the water we must test it at sea. Then it will be a complete success.

no Indian sub can fire K4 or K15 as of now.

Secondly, live testing from subs takes place only during the final phase of the missile testing program.

You dont want to test new missiles in an actual sub during initial stages, any mis-fire and your sub will also go.

yeah right, so till then(2012) this system is not operational. its half success. And this means we lack in second strike capability.
but all the best to our scientists and engineers.

Yes, absolutely.

India currently lacks a credible second strike capability in the form of SLBM's.

Thats the reason, why I don't agree with India's no first use policy which I believe reflects Indian govt's over estimation of Indian fire power.
