Why don't they opt for this robotic mule instead? Made by Boston Dynamics, the LS-3 is an all terrain, all weather robotic mule built to travel 30-35km carrying a load of 400 lbs. The beast looks kind of like a Terminator Mule!!

No need of maintenance, rest, water and hay like living mules and therefore it means less load on the logistics requirements in mountains which otherwise is a nightmare!

I think we should go in for this!!

What about it's cost and power requirements? And what if something breaks down? Such fancy items are not exactly needed yet, IMO, especially since we are yet to purchase some really basic necessities for the Armed Forces. Basically, why complicate stuff if simple solutions are just as effective and much more economical?
