I remember we didn't have A/C in primary school, until junior middle school (from year 7)...

Damn I hope India can get to China level soon.

Yep...I always had my own desk....it was my paradise, I stored a lot of "stuff" in my desk.

But in my primary school, we had such dual desk....
We would draw a line on the surface, called 三八线 （38 degree line as in North/South Korea)

合肥在线讯（戴小花　陶鹏飞　文/摄）五星红旗冉冉升起，校园里响起了嘹亮的国歌声。9月1日是新学期开学第一天，合肥市一批知名中青年书法家，携带着其书法作品，走进南岗小学，为全体师生上了开学的第一课——讲解中国传统的书法艺术，主题为“翰墨丹青添艺彩、拥书习字博未来”。本次活动由合肥市文联、市书法家协会、合肥在线网站联合主办。

合肥市南岗小学校长袁苗告诉记者，南岗小学是一所2014年8月正式招生的新学校，校园配套设施良好，环境优美，学生大都是周边的回迁户或者工厂子女，把优秀的知名书法家请进校园，留下他们的墨宝，就是为校园增加一份传统文化的积淀，让学生们从小在熟悉的校园环境中接受传统书法艺术的熏陶。

Nangang Primary School was founded in 2014 in Hefei City of Central China
Most students come from the nearby workers' family and "回迁户" (famous, whose old housing was demolished, new apartments are built, then they move back).
