Dragon’s Familiar Dance (Prof warns that China might invade India again)

how india choose to spend is a matter for india. However I think the best thing for all of us is to try our best and push our leaders to try resolve these issues peacefully. A war in our neighbourhood will not be good for anyonbe and it will be a pyrric victory for whoever wins it will still be a setback. We need food on tables for our peoples and oppurtunities jobs etc not war.

Both pakistan and india are failed nations if our children go to sleep hungry at night.

peace and prosperity in asia and fu*k westerners

Never underestimate your enemies, prepare for the worst.

i think talking peace would be cheaper and better than war. Listen guys how can anyone win a war when everyone has nukes. If one goes off in any of our three countries we will all be adversly affected.

Peace only comes from strength, but when the threat is to your very existence than it calls for drastic measures. I have a lot of confidence in our soldiers but when the enemy is stronger than it calls for radical decisions. India have been caught off guard by both China and Pakistan in the past and it's just lame not thinking that it won't happen again.

Neville Maxwell types call it war

Real military experts all know , the PLA couldn't keep an inch , because of logistics.

But you can be happy with Mr Maxwell 's view of military affairs

Lol, india at the time had just great logistics system, much better than what the chinese had

.
brother you talk to indians and encourage this and i will do it with my lot. Thats what we should do and pray for

lol that ain't possible.see south asians have this inferiority complex and they want to prove themselves in one way or the other....
i read my history and realize how brits divided us.west don't want a stable india.
why west is winning?it's becaz they are patriotic and use their mind.why we are loosing??it's becaz our leadership is fucked up.they don't think about the people who are dying becaz of poverty, they can't see the people who r dying of extreme cold as they don't have no shelters.....
they played their game and they r winning and iam proud that they r winning after all they put their duty towards their country above other thing......

Depends on whom we are talking peace with, There's never mutual respect between unequal adversaries, We may be confident in the event of an attack by China (and of course Pak as u said you are partners) that we can take on both. But its never harms to do a reality check and put all contingencies in place as the threat is real and dangerous for India and as for poverty eradication we are somewhat on the right path though there are a lot of problems and its not that we are not doing anything about it. This thread clearly speaks about China's intentions of attacking India again and as u said u are going to aid China in attacking India then we need to re-look at the whole scenario drastically and prepare for the worst. Also my eye opener was the thread on China's nuclear weapons stock pile which is majorly against the US but India is definitely on its radar for an attack and we need to be prepared for the same in a much much more deadlier way than we are presently.

.
2 things are true for sure:

1.) china don't have noble intentions

2.) manmohan singh is weakest Indian prime minister and this govt. is ignoring security requirements of India.

Agree completely and his talk peace policy is crap.

.
What paranoia! :fie:

Agreed.

There is no need to be so paranoid. I don't see China bothers to hype up or worry about India everyday.
Meanwhile all this stuff is going on, China is just another business day as normal. ;)

Yep, but the difference is we do so without wasting time and resources daily on the "not so possible" Indian threat ;)

resources... like giving pakistan 50 JF-17 ... or deploying J-11 in 4k meter altitude,,, haha .. so much for not so possible threat i guess...

Sadly, the author's analysis strikes me as all-too-likely. Historically, China often doesn't go to war or engage in an armed incident out of reasons of self-defense but to put others in their proper place - as Chinese leaders see fit. It happened in ancient times, it happened in 1962, it happened in 1979, it happened in 2001, and things are heating up over the Spratlys today. So another 1962 campaign is a real possibility.

On the other hand, while Chinese leaders might like to make India lose face, they probably don't want to empower Pakistan further, nor endanger their trade with the West. Until they square that circle India is probably safe.

Helping friends and strengthening borders is something anyone would do. We don't make noises over everything like Indians do. China this China that? Funny our media never pays much attention to India and for obvious reasons

Come on man. Its not that we are seeking attention but still such things happen on both sides.
