We need to ramp up our defense preparedness. Our current rate of modernization is inadequate --That's what the article wishes to say in a nutshell. We need to further enhance the size and reach of our strategic weapons,Anti-sat weapons , ICBMs , more numbers of nukes , SSBNs .

Economic prosperity, prestige on a global scale have always gone with strong military power and power projection. Only if we can militarily protect our interests like , the energy lines along Mallacca straits intact , protecting every inch of our territory in Arunachal Pradesh , preventing incursions etc --will our enemies and the world take our rise seriously.

The congress must not be allowed to make Nehru's short-sighted mistakes again.

There is nothing wrong in a BJP supporter making this article. Unlike the other scum-bugs in our polity , the BJP whatever their other faults , is the most nationalistic force around.

Add to that India needs to build up its nuke arsenal, just back from a thread that says China has around 5000 nukes and plan to wipe out the US from the face of the Earth and kill their entire population. After the US they will come for us, India needs to take this seriously and build up its Nuke arsenal multifold, do nuke tests as much as needed and care a rats a$$ about the world objecting to it cos when the Chinese come the worlds not gonna come to our aid. We need to build up our defense ourselves. A minimum deterrent doesn't do jack Sh*t against the Chinese. Hoping that the Chinese want peace is the biggest mistake that India will do. Their cunning thoughts and intentions are an end to the US and India. Our lame duck leaders need to figure this out and come out of their mindset that a friendly relation with China is a safeguard. They are damn well coming for all of us and we need to gear up for that big time.

I personally know a few ministers and will try to send them some letters. They need to be woken up from their slumber. Both China and Pakistan have evil designs to eliminate India. I was so into peace between India and Pakistan but I realized my mistake today. I hope and pray India does ramp up its defenses big time. It has to come out of its goody goody world and realize that there is a lot of evil against it.

I thought India is the world's biggest importer of defense equipment, As for outspending China the need of the hour dictates that we need do to it on a war footing. India needs to desperately increase its potency multifold in its defense against China. The pathetic thing is the west realizes the grave threat India faces and is offering a missile defense shield, more weapons and technologies but our babus don't realize the gravity of the situation and are taking it lightly and not acting on it. I will feel a lot safer when India will become as strong to withstand and defend India successfully against China, If India can do it against China then the Pakistani threat will not be significant.

how india choose to spend is a matter for india. However I think the best thing for all of us is to try our best and push our leaders to try resolve these issues peacefully. A war in our neighbourhood will not be good for anyonbe and it will be a pyrric victory for whoever wins it will still be a setback. We need food on tables for our peoples and oppurtunities jobs etc not war.
