The key eye witness, Shaukat Salim, has been caught saying that he implicated Sarabjit Singh on pressure from Pakistani agencies. Link

Sarabjit Singh is an innocent who has been paying the price so that someone in the police force can get a gold medal for catching a "RAW" agent.

If India could release a convicted murderer on humanitarian grounds, why not Pakistan can release a person who is essentially innocent with the eye witness himself retracting his statement and is kept in prison just for the sake of it.

First. Chishti has been released on the basis that he has to report back in November.

Second. The guy who is being released has completed the life sentence.

So its not the exchange.

1) If it were a prisoner exchange, they would have been 'exchanged' by now.

i doubt there was any exchange. , the reason dr chishti was released was on humanitarian grounds . he is quiet old. plus he is just out on bail , and has to be back in NOV.

It's amazing how tha Pakistanis have literally murdered their conscience.

Even when the prime witness in the case says that he falsely implicated Sarabjit singh, these people are so thirsty for blood that it doesn't matter whether that blood is of a terrorist or an innocent man.

They just want blood and they will drink it no matter whose blood it is.
