Dr. Amarjit Singh's Views about Jinnah

Khalistanis and their effort for an independent punjab is not mentioned in Pakistani media because of a larger focus on all Islamic independence movements like Kashmir. It is a narrow minded and weak policy. Khalistanis want an independent Khalistan and we should support any movement whether it is by christians or sikhs. We only support muslims.

I take it you are not familiar with the history. Benazir Bhutto tried to fuel Khalistan movement but failed miserably coupled with the massive genocide against Sikh population in huge portion in response.

Whereas for Pakistan, Pakistan has full plate at this moment. Bear in mind that ISIS is also joining TTP on Afghanistan to fight against Pakistan with the full-fledge cooperation of India.

Sikh militancy lasted from 1982 to 1990. Benazir Bhutto became PM in 1988
How could she be responsible ??

Khalistan movement started in 60s in stages. Apparently the main establishment was accused of fueling Khalistan movement which i believe Sikh militancy is the case. Even Benazir Bhutto was accused of fueling Khalistan movement. So did her father. You have to go back to the history.

It doesn't matter who allegedly did. What matters is the main establishment was allegedly behind this movement which to this day hasn't been proven yet with evidence by India. Maybe i should retract my statement on Khalistan movement. :D

The Indian State murdered over 250,000 Sikhs, an entire generation of youth were slaughtered by the Indian Govt. The Golden Temple (equivalent of Ka'abah for Sikhs) was riddles with bullet holes. It was utter humiliation and devastation for the Sikhs at the hands of their own government. They deserve a State of their own. It is absolute arrogance and cruelly insensitive for the Indians to expect Sikhs to forget their dead. Just like Kashmiris wont forget theirs. Khalistan and Kashmir both deserve our unwavering support.

lol, where did you get the 250000 number from?

Someone asked a very valid question here - please explain what is sikhism? Sikh history is replete with wars which they fought against muslims beginning from their first Nanak who went up against mughals...to the extent that it's presumed that sikhism was formed to fight against Muslim invaders.

So, it's more than likely that you are barking up the wrong tree.

And? I doubt Sikhs would be concerned about their centuries-old wars over the injustice they faced 30 years ago when intoxicated Hindus crowds massed the streets and shamelessly slaughtered unarmed, defenseless Sikhs.

Sikhs to become non-persons in Pakistan

This can hardly be attributed to malice.

When contacted, a spokesperson for the census exercise, Habibullah Khan, admitted that it was a mistake on the part of the census authorities.

“Yes, a sizable population of Sikhs are living in Pakistan, but have we missed them in the census,” he told DawnNews.

He said the census forms had been printed in 2007 and only five religions had been included on the recommendation of a 120-member technical committee.

He conceded that the Sikh population may have been marginal in 2007, but their population had increased with the passage of time.

Given that the Sikhs are raising their voices, it will hopefully be rectified. I don't know how you find this in any way comparable to the events of 1984 and the Indian atrocities which took place in Punjab during the '90s. Only a shameless Indian would stoop as low to compare a bureaucratic error with pogroms carried out by Hindu bigots.

LOL, intoxicated Hindu crowds!!? that sort of description best suits a crowd from a very particular religion which is not Hindu.

No, the riots was instigated by Congress after the killing of Indira Gandhi...and there was nothing Hindu about the killings rather political, and the Sardars aren't stupid to not know it.

.
LOL, intoxicated Hindu crowds!!?

The crowds were boozed up and then ordered to torch and assault innocent Sardars. And the majority of them were Hindus. Thus, intoxicated Hindu crowds.

No, the riots was instigated by Congress after the killing of Indira Gandhi

Political violence which resulted in killings solely based on religion?

Keep blaming Congress and Indira Gandhi, the Sardars only see the cowardly Hindus who swarmed their houses like rats and attacked defenseless innocents.

From General Yahya to Benazir have been allegedly named. The militancy may have started in 80s but the movement started in 60s.

You're a better random number generator than any software algo. My suggestion -- go to silicon valley, you'll be a star. :)

Anyway sikhs are running the country now, a sikh was PM for 10 years, president in the 80s (Zail Singh). They were running the army, now the air force, the Chief justice is a sardar as well - heck, there are probably too many of them :)

Just a little better than pakistan which took 60 years to allow the first sikh to join as an officer :partay:. But then who are we kidding?

there is no evidence that Pakistan actively backed the Khalistan movement until the militancy started

Exactly. Hence the term 'alleged' which the allegation came from India. :D

In my humble opinion the sacred places of Sikhs in Nankana and Hasanabdal should be converted into full scale holy cities.

LOL, if that's true then I don't see a single Sikh complaining about Hindu's or causing harm to Hindu's.
