Being an outsider I seriously don't understand why the FO think U.S will agree an exchange of Dr. Aafia with Dr Shakil Afridi??

I mean both are Pakistani citizens. Apart from that Dr Shakil Afridi doesn't seem of any use to U.S since his purpose is long over for them. Then why should they ?? :azn:
It's shameful that our govt want to exchange one citizen for the other. It's not like exchanging for Raymond Davis.

. . .
To argue that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui is completely innocent is bordering ignorance and falsehood; intelligence agencies such as CIA and ISI are not busy chasing 'innocent individuals' to sort out matters of national security.

Dr. Aafia drew attention when her name surfaced in the records of Al-Qaeda Network as one of its couriers. CIA was trying to unmask every potential courier of Al-Qaeda Network in search for its most notable members including Osama Bin Laden - connect the dots now.

GOP would have a good grasp of Dr. Aafia's history and activities, and the remark in question might be a tactic to silence voices calling for her release.

. .
And this could be happen if we caught and filmed Trump F@cking Modi :D

I believe they are true......

Changes in the law are entirely possible, yes. Good luck!

Prove it Musharaf handed her over to American and prove me wrong she did not marry younger man who was associated with Al Qaida prove me wrong that the person was not in Afghanistan and prove me wrong she left her elder children and went into Afghanistan to live with her Husband to produce a deadly weapon for Al Qaida.

Sir don't get me wrong but can i ask you proofs or any source link (if available in public domain) just for the sake of my knowledge. Will be grateful for you for this because i really want to know the other side of the half backed truth that she was kidnapped by our intel agencies and handed over to yanks

This is a disgraceful position, akin to Musharaf and his remarks about people getting raped for foreign visas.

Regardless of what rumours he'd heard - those words should have never passed his lips, not unless there was a statement from her and her family first. This makes our country look weak and stinks of a cover up. He should resign.

Who would want to come back to a nation whose soil your heritage rose from, has left you to vultures.

Your own institutions & Government hand in glove with those who pin fake charges against you.

Apprehended without any proof and handed over like an animal.

We had Americans running over and killing, shooting dead Pakistanis in Pakistan itself, they get vip treatment out of the country.

I dare these liberals to say this in Pakistan. Dr. Aafia is close to Pakistani hearts. No one would leave these people standing.

The fact is that she was abducted like so many others by Musharraf and handed over to the Americans who proceeded to torture and rape a Pakistani women for years.

She became known as the ghost of Bagram airbase due to her frequent screaming from that torture.

Her children were abducted by the Pakistani State and given to Edhi, where the youngest ones died. This was very controversial at the time.

The only reason why Americans would release her is that they know she is not a terrorist, but simply a victim of their WOT.

She is not psychologically well anymore and hasn’t been for a long time. That kind of constant rape and torture does not allow a person to keep their sanity.

Number one question here is this: Why would the Pakistani state seek the return of a known terrorist to Pakistan for so many years?

Exactly, we wouldn’t do that. She is innocent.

USA has released hundreds of Guantanami detainees who were innocent. There isn't been much hoopla.
If she has innocent she would have been released

do we have all the facts needed to make judgement ? I fear not

Here is a woman who has literally broken the law of 3 countries at least. Arrested by the Pakistani authorities, the Afghan authorities and and the US authorities. Left her husband and family to chase jihad. A housewife who finds herself in a gunfight in Afghanistan. Just think about how that happens to a normal person.

In this era of ISIS brides I'm surprised some people are still to naive to see what's going on.

Of course. Most countries try to influence US policies in any way they are able to do to gain any advantages for themselves. It is fair game.

It does not matter. She is in jail. She will die there. Justice will be done.

It's not just that. Justice should be seen as being served, the shadows over this case need to be removed - she's been a martyr for jihadis for too long.

There are no shadows over this case at all. She got what she deserved, as will those who supported her, eventually.
