Ummah is idealogical bond and there are many reasons of down fall of Ummah

extremism, lack of tolerance, ignorance about religion, hypocrisy in our deeds and beliefs, decline in morals and ethics which our Sahabas practised , lack of interest in knowledge, science and development

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Quran 49:13)

what does it mean @Zarvan? This verse just talking about Muslim Ummah or everyone?

I think religious scripture is not your personal dairy or notebook where you can add stuffs which you like and subtract things which you dont like..Its either take it or leave it. Islam does not require reform but those Muslims(or non muslims) who misinterpret teaching of Islam actually need reform or proper education/understanding of islam. Its not fault of Islam if there are some Muslim societies or people at fault. They need to reform themselves

Islam also have concepts like Ijma, ijtihad and qayas to deal with modern issues

Whilst sitting in the west its quiet nice to lecture us on ummat e muslima however the realit

As for keeping the opinion to my self its a forum the vary idea is to share thoughts and have a chance to talk to people globally from all walks of life and with all due respect you are no body to give orders here , dont like the comments press ignore.

Its nice to sit comfi in the west whilst enjoying all the freedom and give lectures to fellow Pakistanis but the ground reality is very different , Pakistanis thank fully do not mix religion with politics

i lived in pakistan for years, islam and the ummah is different things, i could be part of the ummah and still live in america. i dont what point your trying to make!
your situation has nothing to do with the ummah but in fact bad politics with a bit of bad luck,

pakistanis want a united ummah the most out of all of the muslims i hope you know that.
you have no idea how much muslim countries look up to pakistan besides these rich oil countries.

the ummah is very good part of islam and im sure you living in uk where most muslims are actually educated know the true meanings of it, and how close it makes muslims no matter where they are from. its something unique to us muslims.

yeah you do have clauses for reform. But people who try to use those would probably be killed.

If ummah was a spiritual concept, nobody would care, but its a political concept, often militant, and certainly difficult as hell to understand, considering the green on green ''friendly misunderstandings'' we see everywhere.
