buddy ! there are international obligations and rules which each country needs to follow. Even if the silos for torpedoes can be armed with our miniaturized SLBMs ( dunno if they exist ) , we cant actually arm it. We can only lease it for gaining much needed hands on experience.

Done be too sure on that....Thats just official version..Just like Max. range of Brahmos is 290 Km...

Yes..It can be modified..But that would be serious violation and India will not risk that..
BTW what is the need..ARIHANTH class is there for carrying SLBMs only..

Russia do. To India.

There will be no nuclear weapons on the Akula, if there those will be Indian. Missiles will be Klub.

Missiles with ranges greater than 300 km (162 nmi; 186 mi) cannot be exported due to arms control restrictions, since Russia is a signatory to the MTCR treaty.

There's no way Russia russia will lease you ballistic missiles.
Multiple MTCR signatories have violated the treaty and exported missiles with ranges far greater than 300km.
The french for the UAE for example.
I wouldn't be surprised if your Brahmos and Klub missiles actually have ranges far greater than 300km.

Only 9 countries have nuclear weapons at present. Out of these 9 nations 6 have SLBMs hence if these nations lease or sell SSBN to each other then it makes sense otherwise why would a country without nuclear weapon needs a SSBN ?/ Also these 3 remaining nations Israel, N.Korea and Pakistan also can't use SSBN because they don't have SLBM, not to mention they are way too expensive as compared to conventional submarines.

I have not heard any such rule... also we have earlier also used leased nuclear sub from Russia. I even heard last year, when defense minister went on a visit to US then there was a rumor that US might have a submarine for India in its kitty. I don't know whether it was true or not but even if it was true everything must have happened behind the curtain without anybody's knowledge. And i for got to tell you that if it was true then we are talking about the possible sale of nuclear submarine to India because US only operate nuke subs.

Apart from this Brazil is also purchasing 1 nuke sub from France. I am not sure whether it is SSN or SSBN but i think it will be a SSN because Brazil don't need SSBN as they don't have SLBM.

ANd can that country put their own SLBM in that SSBN??????

Now if we are talking about leased submarine then every thing depends on the agreement between the 2 countries because you are not allowed to make a changes on a leased machine without consent of the leasing country or company.
This will also depend on the sub's launcher and the size of your missile.

Nobody actually knows anything about that...only speculations...

In short the Akula/Nerpa SSNs will be "ours" for the period of 10 years.

They will come with every system intact except the missiles part ;which we are expected to use the Klubs in our inventory (or the K-15/Sagarika).

There is absolutely no restriction on its usage during war times and it is widely rumoured that once the lease is expired India is expected to purchase them as by that time we would be members in NSG,MTCR etc.
