You are just whitewashing the current regime. As long as the country progresses, and is politically stable so be it.
Better than being led by this:
Now there's a disaster waiting to happen.
You are just whitewashing the current regime.
We had a hope in 2010 that MR will assure us a bright future.
Even, I have voted for the UPFA in previous elections.
But sadly, I can now understand that there is no future for the country and us under him.
The third time clearly signifies his excessive greediness for the power and money, nothing else.
MR is the reason for the collapse of UNP. He tactically diluted the opposition. It's pretty sad and telling that they have to keep pulling in canditates from outside of their own party to try and win an election.
MR is the reason for the collapse of UNP. He has tactically diluted the opposition.
See how many UNP voted MP's out there in the present government.
His greediness is the main obstacle. See the post #16.So you are admitting that Mahinda is a good tactician.
Wait till the release of their manifesto to clear your doubts. Why would I want to vote for a party that is so desperate to come into power that it will field random candidates from outside the party so as to guarantee more votes? Sarath Fonseka got used and dumped by the UNP, now they are trying the same tactic with Maithri. It's a pretty shameless grab for power by Ranil, seeing as he won't stand for election himself, but just wants Maithri to do the hard work and then hand power over to him within 100 days. Real democratic and all....

I don't care about UNP.Don't blame Mahinda for the UNP's failure to field its own candidate. That's pretty lame.
Even, MR hasn't done many things as he promised. Will it promise unicorns to all and sundry?

So, why do we need to fall in to the same well once again?

Therefore, obviously UNP couldn't win this election without the support of others.

you already talk about unicorn...
If Sirisena or anyone harms this country we ll kick the bugger out. we are not arse kissers. I am only for and will only stand for this country not some corrupt leaders like you...
MR's arse kissers ask how a new gover is stopping corruption, listen up...
1. first investigations into corruption
2. Action on COPE reports,
3. Independant bribery commissions
4. Investigations into SriLankan, Mihin and every gover owned corps.
And remember we will have a seperate civilian units/forums with experts on every subjects where gover spending will be monitored. A new gover wont be able to play games like MR does with his hegemony where he controlls police, judiciary and every commission
The country is changing, people are getting more involved with what happens in this country...only a$$kissers remain...in the future the accountability of politicians will rise....that is why MR is facing this problem in election which he did not predicted. How you gonna kick him out. He's going to stay in power for 6 years? He might kick you people out.
Yeah right, there are UNP MP who have COPE charges. You honestly believe that they will get punished?
Oh really? civil units/forums? How will they operate? Who will fund them? Who will be appointed for thes
