RAWALIPIND (Web Desk) – Taking serious note of recent anti-Pakistan rhetoric by Indian politicians, Army chief General Raheel Sharif warned on Wednesday that Pakistan will defeat their designs and defend Pakistan’s territorial integrity at any cost.
“No one should dare cast an evil eye on Pakistan,” the army chief was quoted as saying by DG ISPR Asim Bajwa.
A high-level huddle of the top military commanders at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi warned India not to resort to any ‘misadventure’ against Pakistan.

The stern warning from the top brass came hours after Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore warned that Indian strikes in Myanmar were a message to all countries, including Pakistan and groups harbouring ‘terror intent’ that India would strike at the ‘place and at a time’ of its choosing.

Taking strong exception to a series of threats from India, formation commanders’ conference presided over by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif made it clear that Pakistan was ready to defeat Indian ‘designs’ and defend the territorial integrity.

“The forum took serious notice of the recent Indian hostile rhetoric coupled with covert and overt actions to destabilize Pakistan,” the military’s media wing said.

It was termed as highly regrettable that Indian politicians not only indulge in actions that are in violation of the United Nations’ Charter but also take pride in claiming their interference in the internal affairs of other states, it added.

The forum was given comprehensive briefings on security environment and professional issues.

The army chief’s statement comes at a time of verbal exchange between the two countries. During his visit to Bangladesh, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only accused Pakistan of spreading terrorism in India but also admitted that India had played a part in the break-up of Pakistan in 1971. In his address, the army chief while recounting the successes of security forces in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, paid rich tributes to the officers and men for phenomenal successes in the operation and sacrifices they have rendered for the defence of the motherland.

He said, terrorists have been cleared and dislodged from their strongholds in North Waziristan and Khyber Agency and fight now is moving into last few pockets close to Afghan border.

Laying emphasis on continuation of operations till elimination of the last expected and probable terrorists groups and sanctuaries, he exhorted commanders to take all measures to prevent escape of trapped terrorists.

Message is simple you try some funny stuff in Pakistan you will get the most brutal answer.

. . . .
We don't need Shareef's permission to do what's in India's interests. Any action causing harm to India will be met with a befitting response. Shareef must stop his 'strategic assets' from trying to cause harm to India or he must be prepared to face the consequences. His bluff and bluster has no relevance as far as we are concerned. Period!

They kept saying this while we took Siachen, Kashmir and even Bangladesh.

India will make Pakistan pay multiple times for any damage caused to India by Pakistan.

Was there any need to give a statement?
Ignoring rants form across the border was better than responding and giving them attention.

NDTV: Air Strikes or Special Forces: How the Myanmar Attack was Meticulously Planned
All India | Reported by Sudhi Ranjan Sen, Edited by Anindita Sanyal | Updated: June 11, 2015

NEW DELHI: Action within 72 hours - that was what the political leadership had suggested to the Army to liquidate the militant camps across Myanmar. And one of the ways considered to achieve it was the use of Sukhoi and MIG 29 fighter jets, top sources told NDTV.

The first plan had to be dropped because of logistical problems. The second - due to the possibility of huge collateral damage, the sources said.

But action was imperative. Retaliatory strikes had to be taken against militants who ambushed an Army convoy last week killing 18 army men, the heaviest casualty the Army has seen in two decades.

Two militant camps were zeroed on, an officer said. The first one was in Onjha - a few km from Chashad on India-Myanmar border in Manipur - which housed a medley of militants. The more important one was in Ponyu in Myanmar - a few kilometres from the Nagaland border - which housed the militants of NSCN(K), that played a key role in the Manipur attack.

Cancelling a visit to Bangladesh with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval headed for Manipur. So did Army chief Dalbir Singh Suhag, who was to visit the UK.

The two men suggested a surgical attack by 21 Para (Special Forces), a top official in the security infrastructure told NDTV.

The 21 Para (Special Forces) which were selected to carry out the strike, are an elite corps. They train at night and are trained for combat firing, reflex shooting, underwater diving, handling of explosives, free falls, para jumping and deprivation exercises - which means doing all this without food and water for long stretches. Their main weapon -- Israeli-made Tavor Rifles.

The strike was planned for Monday but had to be postponed by a day to get clearance from the Prime Minister, sources said.

Meticulous planning several days; the operation lasted around 45 minutes.

A little after midnight on Tuesday, around 80 Special Forces troops were dropped a little ahead of the border by Dhruv helicopters, from where they stealthily made their way through the dense forests of Myanmar to the Ponyu and Ojia camps.

They smashed the camps - which were said to house nearly 150 militants. After the operation, they walked back to the pick-up point, from where they were evacuated by helicopters.
