This is a standard method of making someone pay up and be humiliated to the 'influential person' of your area. If the guy would've had no money, you avenge by parading his wife or sister naked around the village. Then frame him in a court case. Then have him shot. That's how this subcontinent society works in general I'm coming to discover.

I agree with what you say but parading wife or sister naked is certainly not the norm in most of the sub-continent . There maybe individual cases but they not the norm.
