For what it's worth, I hope Donald Trump fails in the presidential race. He was the potential to put the US on fire literally, on top of which he may a screw or two loose. Fueling his career using genuine Islamophobia, which people like him create in the place, calling for a ban on all Muslims including American Muslims, which is totally unconstitutional. His attention may turn to Pakistan soon.

There is no comparison..Arnold never proposed some of the bat sh** insane ideas that Donald has. Arnold was elected Gov of Cali, not President of the United States. A huge difference.

Arnold was a social moderate and fiscal conservative. Hardly the rabid right winger Trump appears to be. I say 'appears' because I think he doesn't even believe half the things he says.

Trump is currently ahead in most republican polls. republican field = not general election. There is a huge difference and most politically savvy common sense folks here know this. In addition, the general election is still almost a year away. A lot can happen between now and then.

Donald Trump is setting new benchmarks. He will talk of installing chips in Muslims and will fail by design as Media would say it is not needed - but the idea of installing chips in Muslims would be registered as a concept. Later, making another incident a base, the same idea of installing chips will be pitched again and justified that, if that was done, this incident wouldn't had happened.

Donald Trump is there to register new ideas and than fail this time. This is the best he is asked to do and he would do it the best he can.

anyway, this was probably a bit much but I've liked what I heard from him on foreign policy and Syria/Iraq.. hope he wins the nomination, once he's crossed that hurdle he'll probably tone down a few notches and get serious with policy talk etc, remember, he's only rallying the republican base here, democrats do not count in the republican primaries.
