Like many posters here may be Imran khan also believes in conspiracy theories which provide a palatable reason for failure in a political maneuver.
He obviously has shown he has tremendous popular support, so the following is not to in any way diminish his claim to power or for early elections etc.
Just before he was ousted, the opposition leaders were getting to a sort of desperate point. Nawas Sharief et al in exile, and the net closing in around the others of PPP and PMLN closing in. They were looking at being cornered without recourse soon so as really experienced politicians they went on the offensive- bought or otherwise prevailed upon the MNAs to sink PTI majority and topple IK.
IK couldn't really admit he lost in that maneuver which is actually not illegal in the system. So he as an experience politician himself decided to invent the foreign power excuse. Donald Lu's lose talk provided sufficient pseudo evidence to make himself and his coterie believe and really sell the theory.
Bajwa is caught in the middle of this and cannot win. If he says something it will be seen as evidence of interference and if he doesn't say anything everyone else's allegations go unchallenged.
In India people like Rahul Gandhi, Yadav, Khejriwal etc must be kicking themselves for not using the same ruse when they lost.
