We should try to avoid war but we should also increase our focus to China, even if this diffuses, India should prepare for future war with China with an intent to develop enough deterrent.
Few items should be looked at.
1) Access roads, our roads need serious improvement.
2) Defense modernization speed. Artillery/MRBL should be beefed up in North east.
3) Any other China specific modernization should speed up.

Surely China can hosting Indian separatist as Indian hosting Dalai Lama, before we didn't do but future China can certainly return India same favor.
