Shocked India has no clue how to solve the Nepal border issue. If it antagonises the Nepalese further, the Gurkha Regiments may be withdrawn from Indian services. The disputed land is not a small area,moreover its custody in Nepalese hands secures the Chinese highway G219 in Tibet.
The point of contention between India & Nepal refers to the shaded area .

The immediate triggers seem to be all weather bridge(s) to Kailash Manasarover .

The Indian Military are in a fix to how to handle the problem.

Nepal has already had enough with Indian Bullying,it is more likely to fall in the Chinese camp. Will Modi open another front in the North is anybodies guess. If it happen India will loose a lot in Geo Strategic Politics.

I totally agree with you,the Chinese are building a huge rail and road network in Tibet. Hopefully it will link with Nepal one day. Every Nepali i have met despises India. The Chinese have planned things for Nepal, they have built massive military infrastructure around Doglam, do not recognise Sikkim in India. Lets see how things pan out.

If China is truly serious about South Tibet and parts of Ladakh then it needs to take Sikkim otherwise

The Chinese are not happy with Indian Interference in the South China Sea(Base in Vietnam) and the CPEC in Pakistan. Recently they have been very assertive around the Doglam-Arunachal Axis and the Siachin-Ladakh Axis.

Lol. There was a wonderful article in Kathmandu Times on how Nepali leadership coming under pressure for stupid economic policies and Covid19 found an issue with India to stay relevant.

Pakistanis or China are free to do anything. 40% of Nepali population has cross border Indian relations. The mountain leadership could do nothing when Madhesis or plain people in Nepal blocked Indian border proving them helpless. Add to that some 10 million Nepalis live and work in India. 98% of border issues with Nepal has been solved. If the Commie leadership wants to antoganise India for an non issue, we will see.

The actual fun part is Pakistanis and Chinese actually think they can open a front through Nepal. It's not like Nepalis doesn't have commies to do that. But will they attack India with whom they have a marriage relationship with.

I think Modi will eventually BACK OFF, and persuade the Nepalis to some kind of face-saving deal.
