@Armstrong the punishment for a Muslim leaving Islam is only described in the Quran as being implemented in the hereafter! There is no worldly punishment described in the Quran for apostates and even in Prophet Muhammad PBUHs time there were many example of people becoming Muslim and than leaving the fold. They were never killed unless they tried to incite violence amongst the people.

here is a question a person leave islam and convert atheist ok
how on earth you impose on him law of allah and quuran while he have no faith on both of them ?

If he is not following islam we can not impose islamic law on him the best think is to let him go and unless and untill he is not a thread to the islam and society.its his free choice to select what is good for him .

You are absolutely right the majority of jurist believe once a individual leaves the fold of islam its like dead so killing a dead person is Okie.
But if sharia law is implemented in pakistan there will be a debut about lots of law and they will try to implement the correct and most except able law regarding modern time.

Sharia is a divine law created by ALLAH and Mohammad PBUH showed us how to implement it from his Sunnah.

Lots of people don't understand that Sharia if implemented it will be only for muslim and not for non-muslim .Sharia is already in implemented in UK,US and many part of the world including India in the matter of family law, finance and business. In practice many Muslims do turn to Sharia guidance for many of these day-to-day matters, particularly family disputes.
