These main festivals of holi and diwali celebrations can not be stopped but must be moderated because of rise in urban areas, cars, rapid industrialization and its impact on environment and now on human body too is going to be catastrophic

From past 5-6 years I havn't fired a single cracker, coz I don't like it's noise. But it's my choice to not fire it, but I cannot force others to do the same. Yes, there are few crackers which disturbs the environment and can be banned by Government but the one with limited impacts can be allowed.

And man why you want to ban Holy, it's the best festival and actually it has few scientific reasons for it's celebration. I will never ban it, infact I would love to spread it like Yoga.

their only agenda was ensuring a better present and future society for their children... they did something that most previous generation indian parents didn't do and most current parents don't do.

these babies' parents seem to me to be hindu themselves, most of them at least... one baby girl is zoya... now, that may be because one parent of hers is muslim or they used the name in a secular way like aisha.

Like I said earlier Using Kids as weapons is a good weapons for such people to further their own sick agendas, if they worry so much about environment I say they must give up using transport vehicles and switch to bicycles to prove how dedicated towards environment they are.

it is never one or two days, is it?? and even one or two days of absolute madness must be stopped !!

i am especially pained from seeing the terror crackers generate in cats... any city worth calling itself civilized must take care of cats to the fullest... ah, well, they are anyway going to be extinct in india soon.

and then there is the insane and callous criminality that young fellows and families and neighborhood thugs get up to in during diwali and ganesha festival... once, while standing in a shop, i saw three young fellows, maybe of 17, standing on a residential side road at a distance, with a bottle and rocket... they lit the rocket and aimed it in the general direction of the main road... the rocket passed about five feet above the canopy of the shop... and they were laughing and not even looking at where the rocket passed !!

one mental christian family near my house, with six kids from two ( or three ) daughters ), a dog and a generally noisy attitude all year round, also fire rockets carelessly from their roof... once, one rocket banged against the drawing room

and then the newspapers next day carry reports of people being damaged by firecrackers, especially in the eye.



you say after 9 pm but in my area, some burst crackers after 10 too and even during rains !!



doesn't matter... a ban in india, with the second largest muslim population and the largest number of mosques, can set a precedent.

That was a joke. On a serious loud noises are not good for ears. No wonder people are getting deaf at a very young age due to the use of the ear phones.
