What's new

Do you cook ?

Hahaha..
I heard this joke sometime ago,
After ban on Maggie, 90% girls on matrimony sites removed "cooking" as a hobby/expertise!!
मोदीजी ने कहा था ….. ना खाऊंगा ..ना खाने दूंगा !! . . . लगता है उन्होंने ‘मैगी’ से शुरुआत कर दी है ।:D

Seriously RIP Maggie

Mostly. That's enough for a young kid don't you think :enjoy:

And noodles are easy too  but I don't eat 'em much

Even making sandwiches is an art!

Some avocado, tomato, lettuce, onions.. Then you add the sauce of your liking, tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, a slice of cheese and you have a base ready..
Then you can add anything to it, egg or any meat of you liking, pickles..and you have a fantastic snack ready...

Cooking is great. I wish i had gotten around it sooner.....is an awesome feeling when you dig into your own creation and it is just like you imagined it to be.

Plus it's a necessity for me...not married, can't stand women around the house for longer periods of time :D and eating out constantly kinda looses it's charm after a while.

Do you cook ? bake ?

I enjoy cooking from time to time. I don't cook regularly, but usually on weekends..
Today, I'm baking a chocolate cake for myself :)
Now I'm using this new oven for the first time, don't know what the outcome is going to be. I hope it turns up well.
If you like cooking, do write about it, may be some recipes of your own. And do share the pictures :)

I love to cook, I don;t get enough time to cook. I try to cook every weekend, and wifey cooks on weekdays. I enjoy cooking on the grill, on cuisine: I am pretty good at cooking Punjabi, Bengali and Marathi recipes, I am also decent at making pasta's. Baking is out of my realm and I would never even try it. My wife is an expert baker, her cakes and deserts can out do the best out there.

Currently I am trying my hand with more soups and stews.

I can cook pastas. Lasanga is my favorite. I can also cook Biryani, Aloo Keema and make Parathas. Anday tou har ko bana leta hai. :P

Also, I bake a little bit.

What do you cook ?
Pies, cobblers, shrimp and noodles (stir fried with some veggies and topped with red wine vinegar), Chicken stir fried with veggies, roasted chicken, chicken and rice, hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, french toast, all kinds of potaters, spaghetti, pizza, muffins, candied carrots, candied apples, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs (deviled, salad, sandwich) and other things...

Just the Daal Chawl..or something else too ?
When you live you college to uni life out of country and without parents then you have to learn to survive in that you learn multiple stuff.. Some traditional and the rest multinational. Btw there were days when we had some other friends cooking too and those were the Indian girls those days we did get to eat chapati...:azn:

At home do make just to keep in practice once a week or 10 days...

Awesome.. I started learning cooking by helping my mother in the kitchen. Both my mom and aunt are awesome cooks..

Bengali and Punjabi cuisine I can cook. Lately I have been good with the grill too!!
You should try my Chicken Dum Biryani sometime..

One time, we, some 15 guys had gone for an outing. With some help, I had cooked dinner and lunch.
Chicken curry, Mutter Panner and Pulav..
Ladke log ungliyan chat te reh gaye!!
Cooking for yourself or 2-3 guys is one thing, and cooking for 15 hungry young guys is completely different!!
