What's new

Do Bangladeshis under appreciate the great Quaid e Azam?

.
Did he also write,

“Aye chelera aye mayera ful tulithe jai. Fuler Mala golai diye mamar Bari jai”

How about,

“Akdoom bak doom goorar doom shaje”

“Roshale kohilo shorno lothika re”

Haha

Injecting that kind of crap into children should be punishable with ten years of prison!!!

IT IS CHILD ABUSE 101!!!

@bluesky and you are surprised our people cannot assemble heavy machinery??!!!

All this shit needs to be burnt and dumped along with Wahhabi crap.

Unless every single school becomes an English medium school - Bangladesh will not progress to the next level.

Learn Bangla the way I was taught Bangla. As an interesting extra cuticular activity. Nothing wrong with that.

Ffs, if you want to grow your brain read western literature. Burn primitive clap trap!
I thought u were only a shrine warshiper. Now your true colour is coming out. Never said anything before against you as though you are a fellow bangladeshi. boy was I wrong

Maybe you are a bit too high on weed like your মাজার পূজারী fellows. Our country was built on resistance against opression on "bengali muslims". You have been enslaved by your foreign masters, please do not teach us what we should do with our language.

I bet you eat pork and drink alcohol just to fit into their society and curse your luck for not being born into a british family. 🤣

We are proud of being a Bangladeshi and our language as we have fought for it and ready to fight again. Keep your slave mindset to youself please.

And just on calling people wahabi, Bangladesh has flushed the shrine warship and hindu influenced bidati culture decades back. You sitting in your uk কলাবাগান has no idea what Bangladesh is like now. No one has to adopt wahabism to know what is shirk and kufr. Only delusional people warship shrines and think singing is a form of prayer in islam.

How come some Bengalis I meet can speak Urdu and Punjabi? You guys fought for Bengali, so it's a little odd you'd speak the language of the oppressor
1. Fighting for your language =/= hating other languages.
2. The Bangladeshi Bengali people you met, unless they were very old to have lived through the Pakistan period, were most likely speaking Bollywood Hindi to you and not Urdu. Ask them to speak formal Urdu or Hindi and see how they struggle.
3. Never met a Bangladeshi who speaks Punjabi. Don't think even Bihari Bangladeshis speak Punjabi.

According to a research done by pew research Centre back in 2004. They found people in Bangladesh has average IQ of 150. This was a startling result as the majority of population is not highly educated but they have shown characteristics of picking up foreign language by only being exposed to them for a few hours. One family in remote area who recently got connected to internet and their 10 year old was fluent in 27 different language and among them was latin, a language that no one speaks in. I was just kidding, its bollywood that has done this, i have seen indonesian and some arabs who picked up hindi, whereas its very easy for us as its from same language family. Having an extra language under our belt is an advantage. You should ask youself why you do not know another language of a different country?

. .
Because without Pakistan there would be no Bangladesh!!!

Simples!
I would say , without Bengali, there would be no Pakistan!

( Present days Pakistan is continuation of west Pakistan ; that is the smaller part (population) of Pakistan dominion! Is Mongolia ( 3m population) a bigger country than Pakistan? I don't think so!) !

Read the history. Even before indian provincial election 1946 , Muslim league had no ground in present days Pakistan.

Muslim league was founded in Dhaka, it nurtured in Dhaka , and till 1946 it only had ground in Bengal region!

I met two, fairly young, mid 20s, at most in their 30s, who were speaking proper Punjabi.

Maybe more of an anomaly

It just shows that Bengalis are quick learners.. or we'd see Indians and Pakistanis speak bits of Bangla, not the other way around.
Disagree with this, Urdu/Hindi and even Punjabi are much more mainstream in South Asia. Bollywood, dramas, songs, etc, hence more exposure and incentive to pick it up. Bengali not so much.

Same with Afghans, a lot of them can speak it well, but that's also because of migration patterns and Pakistani influence.

Well we can speak Urdu/Hindi/Hindustani whatever you call it ; in short the language of Bollywood!

If some Bengali can speak Punjabi , it's an exception , as few people can speak in Mandarin as well! That necessarily doesn't mean that we can speak in Mandarin!

In general we can't speak in Punjabi!

As much shit as Bangladeshis talk online, in the US at least, they always speak Urdu/punjabi. They always come to our mosques and make friends with us. They even insist on sharing a ‘desi’ identity with Pakistanis. Not that I mind, but it’s funny that even after talking all this shit, they don’t naturally gravitate to Indians(hindu or Muslim) or Indian bengalis, but rather Pakistanis.
