NATO needs Turkey as much as Turkey needs NATO. This whole situation is distasteful. We trade whoever the phuck we want to trade. US have no right nor power to boss Turkey around.

Dude...sometimes Turkey and its foreign relation really is very confusing...Inspite of being one of the developed and most developed Islamic country...why you really needs USA? I mean ....Why Turkey is in NATO block????Who is threatening to Turkey for which it needs to be with USA and NATO....Blaming the GOV is an easy execuse.....but if Turkey Gov is really serious and thinks that USA and its policy is something not good for Islamic countries....then why Turkey is not moving out of NATO?...Or in other wise....as some of the Turkey members put it like USA needs Turkey more then why cannot Turkey acts as a broker of peacemaker between USA and Iran????

Who said we aren't doing it already? Turkey never supported any kind of campaign against Iran but when Tehran steps out of table, nothing we can do.

Alliance could only be done between rich and powerful sides. Turkey have absolutely nothing to get from arab block. And we are one of oldest members of NATO and Turkey will probably remain in NATO untill NATO ceases to exist.

I respect your sentiment but again first of all why are you 1st of all part of NATO? That does not mean that i would like to see Turkey should be out of NATO. But i would like to know in this current geo polotical scenario, what is the reason for which Turkey is the most prominent member of NATO when it seems in PDF that so many Turkey member are so aligned with policy and approch of NATO?

Iran has through history been one of Ottoman Empires biggest enemy. Today we share alot of common things with Iran, but judging from what people like PERSIAN_GOD_KING and other iranian members, I don't think they have any respect left for Turkey, because of its ties to NATO. Somehow it is understandable.
These news only weakens our ties further, for a year ago everything was "super" good with Iran. But now, after USA's *** is hurting because Iran might develope nuclear warheads, they want to use Turkey as front against them. And Turkey is obeying the orders from NATO, even thought they can tell them to "gtfo" like they did when NATO invaded Iraq.

I don't like this move by Turkey.

In my opinion, that action could not be categorized as ditching Iran. Turkey has reduced oil import from Iran to avoid some serious sanction risks from US. very similar to the performance of S-korea, Japan, even China & India. It is a fact, there are very limited numbers of countries which could withstand in front of the US economy dominance in the world with 15000 billion $ GDP.
On the other hand Turkey is still among the rare countries if not the only one who speaks about rising trade state with Iran.

Iran is one of the most protectionistic countries and is hindering Turkish companies on its soil, while we let you breath through our border. Just think of Turkcells deal and many other things that happened in the past. We bought their oil at far to high prices for a far to long time while Turkish companies have been discrimated in Iran. No other neighbouring country gives a shi.t about you. Not a trustworthy country at all if you ask me, I only can see hostility in many of its moves.

Lets get our oil from North Iraq, Libya and Venezuela, countries which dont boycott Turkish products or Turks.

you can import oil from other countries but you cant import import power from any more country except Iran.

Who are we going ally with?

-Russia? The country hates , try to dismember us throughout history and fear increase of turkish influence because hes controlling all turkic states via puppets?

-China? Same reason with Russia afraid to Uyghur Turks , afraid of turkish influence

Three criteares needed to please Turkey

1-That nation must be powerful enough protect Turkey in case of invasion - Is there any powerful country out there more than US ?? a big NO

2-That nation must give us cutting edge technology(even though we never managed make this reality US dont give us technology we take them by FORCE everytime...They never think "Ah Turkey is our ally lets give them some shiny toys" we are not jews after all...Those ******** jew lover aipac dogs in US Senate , just one week ago they stopped selling of armed drones to us , perhaps after Obama re-elected he can arrange something...

3-That country must be very powerful enough to influence throughout the world and lobbies to stop any form of atack againts Turkey : when US couldnt-didnt stop armenian genocide recognition in EU countries(supported by germany-france duo to keep Turkey outside of EU) president of US every year stop it from whole nation recognition.Those idiots in US Senate every year tries and every year president say NO to them in favor of Turkey.Even though many people in Turkey get angry the fact president can't/don't want to silence those idiot armenian lovers..

I think Turkey is going to right direction and is coming out well from the final phase of its transition.2015 onwards Turkey will be the major power of the region and will be able to integrate the many countries of its backyard under its leadership.
