This probably has nothing to do with Iran supporting Armenia which killed 5 Azerbaijanis just a week ago. Or how Iran gave the middle finger to Turkey when they asked Iran to stop Assad from butchering his own people. Or how Assad is giving Turkey the middle finger, knowing that they have the full backing of Iran, after so many threats throughout the year and a half of the uprising made by Turkey and ignored by Assad.

End of the the day Turkey needs USA and NATO.
Saudi Arabia needs Turkish expertise and weapons!

It is difficult to say who needs more Turkey to NATO or NATO to Turkey. With the rising profile in the region and importantly, clear Shia- Sunni divide after Syrian crisis Turkey left with no choice but to align with Saudi Arabia backed GCC .
