Rather than thanks .. their should be two button Like and dislike .. There should be cutoff on number of dislikes .. if Dislike are more ,Message will automatically get deleted.. My 2 cents

i do not like the idea.... i debate quite a number of people in here and they are already racist anyway, they try to twist my words, get their friends involved and gang up, threaten to have me reported even though i have not done anything wrong.

i think they would use the dislike to their advantage which would really spoil any freedom of speech people do have here, and would also make debate harder for anyone who is a minority.\

if there is a dislike button, it should just give them dislikes... but i think from that the only thing you should or could take from it, is the most dislikes someone has, the more they have beaten the opposition in arguments and debates, i think if you have dislike button and people have that stigma because of it, the people who dislike should also have a counter of how many dislikes they have dished out also

I don't say to replace moderators .. Moderators will also work.. it is to supplement them. Some time we have to report message by ourself.

P.S. An idea do not become bad only just because Facebook has also used it.

If its a totally national forum- then like- or - unlike button will make sense-
As soon as different nationalities gets involved- rationality goes down the drain- like or unlike- becomes a predicted extra/useless tool to be abused by fanboys-

How many times are we going to discuss the same topic? Just last week we were talking about the same dislike option. We have tried dislike option in past, but people start disliking posts due to their personal grudges and turn the whole forum into war-zone.

Imagine Asim Aquil write a post on Narendra Modi and he receives 50 thanks from Pakistanis and 80 dislikes from Indians what are we going to get out of it?

Reject the idea of 'dislike button'. Not only this but it will show the negative expressions of PDF with many dislike buttons than likes.
