Dishonesty about Indian technological development

.
It's not just about size of population that defines the nature of industrial capacity. For example the Japanese, french or Germans despite being much smaller nations are way ahead in technological innovations. Americans, Russians despite having one third of population than India or China have the capacity to produce more.

And we are discussing industrial growth and not living standards. Many European countries don't have much industry but they can beat any country any day on living standards. Even if I go by living standards, as Stephen pointed out, Kolkata was having world class Educational institutions, hospitals, banking units, ship building industry, metro rails in the 80's itself. Dhaka being a national capital, I am afraid does not come close. Have you visited Kolkata recently? You will be surprised to see that it is not even what it looked ten years back.

I stopped when I read that Kolkata had "world-class" Educational institutions.....

So, as an example which Kolkata university is NOW ranked in the top 100 globally?

 And what's your question ?

It was in my post you quoted but here it is anyway below:

"So why did you remove my negative
ratings when I did not take you up
on your offer to remove the ratings if I
deleted my posts?"

Please wash your mouth with detergent and soap before even you utter the name "Kolkata", it is like a million times more developed and organised than any bangladeshi city, no wonder bangladeshis roam around park street with their eyes popping out seeing buildings, metro, trams, decent neighborhoods for the first time.

@Rain Man @gslv mk3 @Nilgiri

.
Bangladesh has more pressing needs - water storage & management as opposed to R&D on industrial products

Jadavpur, BESU, IIM Joka are premium institutions still today. Infact Jadavpur ranks quite well in TIMES BRICS and ASIA rankings. Calcutta university, Presidency both produced world class enterprenures, academics till 90s. Comparing to this, what Dhaka has done?

How many premiere institutions you have? Sure you will stick to my one word 'world class' and keep on pressing for world rankings, quite avoiding achievements or failures of your own ;)

You are quoting a guy who believes Walton generates a revenue of $2 billion !! No source, no proof, no documents nothing but based on some otherworldly fridge sales statistics . If this is not delusional I don't know what is.

Another fella claimed few hours back that Bangladesh like Italy and Greece was never subjugated by any foreign power for long. I mean wtf

Seems like the Indians are on the defensive now.

One of their "Think Tanks" gets caught claiming that Kolkata was "world-class" in many areas in the 1980s, and like good little Indians they rally round to their defence.

What a joke of a "country" they are.

You still did not answer. What Dhaka has in comparison with Calcutta? Be honest and stop evading the topic.

And defensive!! Oh yes. Have you realised, that you started attacking India, and now defending your National capital against Calcutta, a second rate city in India? ;)

What counts is living standards for the population. BD is far ahead of where India was in 1993.

Factoring in BBS braggart and fakery (i.e BD institutional quality being terrible and staying terrible unlike even Pakistan which is making progress)....1993 India is far in advance of BD in reality. Liveability index of Dhaka says all we need to know (i.e on the ground checking rather than relying on BD BBS "data")....just like this BD dude found out too:
