i would say bangladesh need to work on 5 yr plans. build more unis, produce more scientific pool. india and china will always be ready to invest there. basic infra should be developed immediately like roads and highways, rails.

ur asking for impossible. time will heal everything. learn from india. we have improved over time. 10 yrs ago building a highway in india took a decade because of corruption. now in 2011 we started construction on 5000km of highways in 1 year. this year will go upto 8800 km. 16 km are being constructed everyday. time and reforms are key. if ur talented enough join politics.

thing is India has a lot of states and states have their individual rights, laws and policies. Bangladesh is a single state where a very few group of folks control everything in bangladesh; you can actually name them, currently in Bangladesh you can't even get a big loan passed without the backing of the royal family. i am talking 60 crore up. we need to change few laws in our constitution. Problem with power is no one wants to give it up and the groups will hold it no matter what.....there is a dictator hidden in each of us.

Yes I will join politics in the future, my family is already heavily involved in Bangladesh.

That figure of Bangladesh is based on 1995 base year and for Pakistan and India GDP is measured based on 2005 base year. Bangladesh will upgrade its GDP based on 2005 base year. So it will upgrade by a substantial margin.

better that upgradation does not happen!!!!..................Pakistanis are gonna get a heart attack!!!

Pakistan has a big potential if it can come out of present turmoil. Else it will go downwards and worse will be breakup of Pakistan into couple of parts. So select better leadership and try to impose a free and fair policy.

that is the problems what led to 1991 crash in india and see how we recovered after than. its a revolutionary policies that change the game. if ur talented never hesitate to join politics and put forward ur ideas. anyways bangladesh currently doesnt have big companies to develop its infra, india and china are ready to help and invest anyday bangladesh wants us to. bangladesh is a safe place o invest. india is already building a power project for u guys.

that is a stupid thinking. both have similiar polulations. seriously ur ministers should visit south korea to learn how a small country with tiny population competes with best in world. potential is something u have to tap. they r wasting it u shouldnt.

Yes 2011 estimates but based on 1995 base year for Bangladesh. Lots of new industries has emerged since then which is not counted in the GDP. This year Bangladesh government will upgrade all those companies to include in the GDP and will make it based on 2005 base year and later it will be upgraded to 2010 base year. As most of the new industries that has emerged since 1995 such private banks, trading companies, cell phone companies, private universities, real estate companies, private tv channels etc now will be included in the GDP which is not counted in Bangladesh GDP. So it will contribute substantially to the GDP!!

Bro, our country is great for investments only problem is we lack any decent infrastructure. It is a joke; there has been so many situations where the investor came, had every intention to invest, saw the roads and highways....they packed and left. Our communication minister is busy making money with sheikh rehana, he is rehana's agent in making money. Bro, you can't even get a big construction tender in Bangladesh without paying bribe to rehana or they have their own company which takes almost all of em
