Discussion of future prediction of GDP of Bangladesh!!!

bangladesh is a stabler economy than pakistan with almost thrice the growth rate of pakistan...........they have a superb potential of becoming an economic power in 2050 and will surely overtake paksitan's economy in the near future!!!

By 2030 there is a strong possibility. Now we will have to see based on economic base year what will be the GDP of Bangladesh which will come out on around July of this year. Current GDP is a huge underestimated one which is based on 1995 Base year and do not count most of the emerging new industries in the GDP.

N regarding the above chart it was based on 2009 and at that point of time it was assumed Bangladesh will progress only at a rate of 5-6% between 2010-2050. Now its 7.5%. But if Bangladesh can maintain 8% GDP growth atleast then there is a good chance for Bangladesh to be in the top 10-12 economy by 2050.

honestly i never even read ur posts seriously because i can see how much knowledge u have abt issues. u tend to protect pakistan not even realizing what ur saying makes no sence. if u read my post ull understand what i said. i didnt ridicule pakistan. all i am saying bangladesh is growing 3 times faster than pak and economic difference btw countries is merely 70 billion. if u go and read abt bangladesh future plans u will be surprised. they r building highways and small industrial cities soon. and they have got smart politicians. by the time pak finishes its war on terrorism d will already be bigger than pak growing at much higher rate. accept the reality and start working.

Where is your crystal ball dear... Are you astrologist... Lol you think Pakistan isn't building highways...

No, I'm actually saying truth and putting out facts while you were always putting up blogspot stats lol

These projections are quite lame. They don't predict a lot of factors like war, famine, monetary downfall and what not.
Honestly Bangladesh is quite screwed, the only way to save this country is by a radical reformist leader like Dengzioping, follow the chinese model.....problem is we have too much democracy for such a small land, everyone has an opinion.

Thing is in oder to change Bangladesh, we only have to change one law. Just one, in our constitution we have a law that says if any MP votes against their party during a bill, the party has to right to evict him as the MP. We need to give more power to the MPs rather than our prime minister, this will lead to the end in the monarch. In US democrats can vote on republican bills and republicans vise versa.

as long as bangladesh doesnt go on war it can even beat the predictions

lol 2012 chart is even scarier showing indian economy bigger than china and pak is still not in it.

They did not make any assumption for Pakistan and Iran for the uncertain scenarios of both the countries. If things goes towards positive direction and Pakistan can maintain 7% GDP growth in between 2010-2050 it can also be a top 10 economy with a population of 350 million.

But on the downside if Pakistan see breakup of Baluchistan or Pashtun areas then definitely it will not reach at that mark.

show me what plans pakistan has made for the future?? i mean long term growth plans. something like indian delhi mumbai industrial corridor worth over 100 billion..

As a finance and investment industry professional its my opinion that such predictions are very very difficult to come up with.

However my opinion is that BD has great potential, but Pakistan has more potential as they are better equipped with natural resources and better integrated with world economy.

theres no point of predicting anything for pak. they first have to prove to the world that they can maintain stable govt. look at paks gdp growth. everytime there is political change in pak. it becomes hell of a country. roits, protests murders (2008) are common and gdp growth takes a hit. stablity is success and bd got it.

Oh. Well Lahore Metro is coming up. Gwadar, a port city is getting developed and is expected to get vigger than Karachi with $100 billion a year in revenue. We are making skyscraper in Karachi. Roads are being developed. If you want more, you are always welcome to go to Pakistan Economy section...

bro, problem is that our stats are cooked up. You just have to work in Bangladesh and see the rampant corruption in every sector. You can;t even pay your electricity bill in few cases without giving a bribe:lol:...our law and order is a joke. our supreme court is controlled by the government. what we need is a few justices that are appointed for life without any political influences. We need our constitution rewritten.

Why you need to put all sort of rubbish stuff all the time. You are still a kids. Dnt try to be too over smart. People of Bangladesh are not dumb enough. By 2020 political scenario of Bangladesh will be complete different then present one. Most of the leadership either will be dead or too old to lead. New leadership is bound to come. With the introduction of social media all political map of the whole world is going to change. No one will be able to rule by selling the name of some national hero.
