There needs to be a thread regarding why is the establishment doing this?

Regime change operation, letting in all the crooks who were cursing them, installing a boot polisher/money launderer PM, bringing in traitors (PTM), allowing deserters to meet US consulate staff, rigging by elections, committing worse kind of human rights abuses, limiting their involvement with China (letter-gate).

WHY?

No need to discuss this topic to death, it is painfully and plainly obvious. IK poses the biggest threat to establishment's stranglehold on power since Mujeeb and Awami League.

They will go to the gates of hell to neutralize IK. However, IK needs to realize is that his fate is sealed, he better go down fighting and not end up as Morsi dying a horrible miserable death in prison.

No need to complicate it further ... Its us against this elite ... There might be other problems but they r branches of the root cause which is elite capture ... If we get rid of elite capture rest of the problems will get sorted out in time through a natural process

1- It IS martial law, they haven't announced it yet though.
2- Announcing martial law may be the last card of desperate soldouts, but considering the resistance even in punjab, that's gonna be more counter productive than they can ever imagine. Last time when they tried to be occupying force in hostile territory, results were quite embarrassing.
3- Only seeable, but less likely, reason for announcing martial law is if any party in PDM breaches the deal (and they know what happened to BB for doing so). Second possible reason of announcing ML, which is more likely, is well below average IQ of soldout generals.
4- IK is not Mursi. He is way more popular. Pakistan is no Egypt.
