disarming and civilizing Taliban fighters is need of the time . taliban should regularize them as gov employees with proper uniforms and arms . rest of the fighters should be disarmed and Afghanistan as a country should be cleared from arms and gun culture . if taliban want to rule long term and without more bloodshed and violence its the right time taliban must make current fighters regular civilized disciplined army/ para / security forces . guns should be prohibited specially heavy guns automatic arms and other lethal weapons only non auto and hunting weapons should be allowed for normal afghans .re grouping and retraining of Taliban as a regular army . police force and many other branches of forces like air port security forces/ special police units /border control police / anti narcotics forces /national guards/ can induct many fighters so that no taliban look back to took arms .

i think this chaos and everyone carrying guns in cities markets homes should be end now . just keep fighting and fighting is not solution . society as a whole must be civilized and calm down .lets get example of iran in 1979 they also started like this but now they are one of the most peaceful and educated nice socity on our border .
this can not be a country of 2021 . even islam did not allow to take arms in markets and scare women / kids /elders

They have stated the disarming of society as their objective. They understand if wider society is armed, the risk of rebellion is higher. They also will be looking to form their own national security services as they have full control of the nation now - however it will depend on how many they can afford to keep in uniform and on duty. The biggest challenge for Taliban now will be economic. If they cannot afford to pay wages, fighters will become bandits or guns for hire and security will disolve like the ANA did.

I suspect it will not happen overnight, but they have stated this as their aim. Another big challenge to overcome will be rural Afghan culture. They are a tribal society, their arms are a form of security, also a part of their culture. Cities will start to look normal, but i doubt villages will for a long time.
