Gentlemen,

In my analysis, its time that Pakistan seriously considers working in the area of Directed Energy Weapons, DEW. DEW weapons are possible using Laser, Microwave, Kinetic Energy (Rail) and Magnetic Pulse.

One of the practical first steps for dew could be laser. This would be essential to interdict threats from small quadcopter to LomAD type targets. This shall also be essential in handling the supersonic CM threat that is clear and present danger to Pakistani infrastructure.

Parallel efforts shall be required in accurate radar systems to detect any hostile bogey or assemtric threat, so that the DEW system can be queued to the target in priority and in real time.

DEW weapons, in all western doctrines, are to supplement existing AD infrastructure. However, new and special C2 systems shall be required to revamp terminal defenses and effectively and automatically address terminal threats from drones to ballistic targets.

The thread is open to discussion for all contributors.

DEW is highly classified program( weapons of the future ) various nations working on it . My take is that Pakistan already working on it probably with collaboration of China .
Same signals are also from the east , indians also extensively working on it with the support of israel .

looks something secret is going on without public knowledge

Give funds to nust fast EME , the lads at Pakistani universities usually escape Pakistan after masters , keep them here pay them good provide a good environment and task them to develop these
give opportunities to bright engineers and we would be ahead of the whole world in every field.
