She was directed by the Indian foreign office not to negotiate this and submit to the blackmail.

Indian govt. wanted a showdown to put an end to this US blackmail as it was the 3rd time such methods were used to put Indian diplomats under pressure.

Everybody is glad this happened. The only looser in the whole story is the US. Think about that.

And those are only the people who become citizens (it takes at least 5 years of residency to even apply for it). A far larger number here are not citizens.

India justice surely blindfolded, they ignored Khobragade crimes and award her with a job in U.N diplomat stationed in India, she not just violated US law but commit real estate fraud in India. She operated cross continental criminal enterprise with sanctioning by India government itself.

LOL. There is nothing to be arranged. She is an IFS officer and she would ALWAYS be in Indian diplomatic services.

There is no case against her in India. The maid would have to fly back to file any case, if she wants to. The only cases that might happen are probable cases against those U.S. diplomats who might be held guilty of interfering in the Indian judicial process (with the spiriting out of india the maid's husband) in the embassy in India and a probable warrant against Bharara himself. True they will have immunity (not Bharara himself -the diplomats) but the immediate effect might mean that they will never be able to enter India again. Of course, all this might not happen & might end here but it is difficult to predict what the courts in India will do.

Thats because of the simple fact, that the Marines agreed to return and reneged on that. Since, they did not return and the Italian Ambassador had guaranteed their return, if they are sent home for Christmas.

In the current case, the officer was provided diplomatic immunity by the US. There is a difference between the two.
