and how can USA arrange visa for them when they had a court case pending in India? If usa thinks it can whisk away Indian citizens as it sees fit, there will be huge problems for it in future.

It would be clear that India is trying to hurt an American because an Indian consulate worker violated the US law. And this would all blow up in America. India would become an enemy in Americans eyes. So what you say will not happen.

Instead of complaining to American for enforcing our laws, you should tell your government officials to live under the law, not above it. Too late. she must also have American approval to be a full diplomat. And I don't think US has accepted her as a full diplomat. She won't be approved by Americans now.

Host country can not approve or disapprove for any foreign diplomat . US have no choice. US is now busy in making a new ID card for her. Tomorrow morning she will be walking freely on New york roads.

Whats new here ??? Will it be first time india mess with US !!! do you remember the sanctions last thing US want is India messing with its policy and sanctions. Just look at Iran. If india defy US on that then god save your sanctions

On similar grounds "anti gay" law on indian soil can make trouble for gay US diplomats with partial immunity. Devyani can servive Us jail for 15 years can US guy(?) survive 5 years in Indian jail
