What's new

Different shades of PTI عمران خان وزیراعظم بننے سے پہلے اور اسد عمر وزیر خزانہ بننے کے بعد۔

Agreed. Haven't I said enough time to give this government the time it needs to set its policies in motion multiple times already?
Policies are clear a very hard pinch for us that will hurt for 2 years

We should tell our public that military takeover will cut cost of running political govt as military will not need extra pay to run govt and decisions can be made quickly which will benefit ordinary public life and will make economy strong
The military would just get desified and ruined. Is that what you want? You see there is continous tension between western ideas and desi way of doing things. Since British left the police, civil service has become desified. The military because it largely remains isolated from the sea of Pakistani dynamics has been largely insulated from being desified. Your suggestion would end up desifiing the military and ruining the last institution that is still intact.

It is known fact that in extended times when army was in power corruption, nepotism crept into the military heirachy leading to reduced professionalism. We saw that with Gen. Zia's era when the army was caught politiking ignoring it's primary job - defence of it's borders. Result India grabbed Siachen which we still have not got back.

Military rule imposed illegally has always left the country worse off than before, always remember that lesson from Pakistan's history.

As a general rule I agree. However if Ayub Khan had not taken over there would have been no Pakistan today.

Every dictator has claimed that and failed miserably. Such apologism for the military's illegal actions must stop if Pakistan is to get anywhere.

1965 war was won under military rule, during gen zia he was allowing politicians to share power like he launched pmln

It was draw at best and loss at worse. By no way stretch of imagination was it victory. And I had fair few relatives serving in the army in that war so don't take me as anti-military. But facts are facts.

Such apologism for the military's illegal actions must stop if Pakistan is to get anywhere.
I am not being a apologist but realist. I agree on the whole military rule is bad but there are few outliers that go against the accepted truism. Ayub is one example, Ataturk is another, Nasser of Egypt another, Gen. Park Chung-hee whose junta effectively laid the foundation of modern South Korean miracle are rare example from history.

My comments apply only to Pakistan, I care not about the others you mention.

Politicians have no credibility aur girgut ki tra rung badaltey hain..feel sorry for those who believe in their fake promises ..

I can't say about Imran Khan Niazi but his team is bigger idiots, morons and corrupts.

Idiotic and moronic behavior is common for our politicians, they don’t think before they speak and when they realize that they have made a fool out of themselves then they back track their comments.
As far as corruption it concerned, if they are corrupt, opposition should File a case against them.
