F/A-18 E/F - the superbug aka the superhornet is the aircraft being fielded in MMRCA. F/A-18E is a single seater, while F/A-18F is a twin seater. MMRCA has the F-18IN, which will be an Indianized version of the F/A-18F (probably).
F/A-18G Growler is an electronic warfare version of the superhornet, which will eventually replace the USN EA-6B Prowler, used mostly for jamming radars and things like that.

The Growler is a special version of the F18 Super Hornet, but it is doubtful that they will provide those to India. Even a close alley like Australia might only get a light version of it.

There is no F18IN, only the F16IN! The F18 Super Hornet will be in the normal export config and will be available in both single and double seat versions. The only reason why F16 is called IN is, because it has some new avionics and a specialised refueling probe to be compatible to IAF tankers.

For IAF it could look like this:

So the roles of the GROWLER and F/A-18/F are different ???
coz the growler are not replacing older SH's ....
im asking because i do not understand the exact role of the Growler ..
thanks in advance
i went thru wiki still kinda stumped

growler is on offer . In fact Boeing's whole marketing strategy of selling f-18 is ,on a part, based on the future integration of growler in the IAF. for reference i would suggest you check out Boeing's Indian website. all the options given there are on the table. there have been earlier quotes attributed to boeing which have expressed willingness to sell the system to india.

The Growlers are F18 SH, only with some additional electronic warfare sensors and jammers, integrated and carried on weapon stations as you can see on the pic:

It's role:
The Growler is a derivative of the combat-proven two-seat F/A-18 Hornet, the US Navy's maritime strike aircraft. The aircraft missions are mainly electronic attack (EA) and suppression of enemy air defences (SEAD), particularly at the start and on-going early stages of hostilities.

Without the external pods it can carry any weapon and do any mission a normal F18 SH can do.

First of all, only because Boeing is ready to provide it for export, doesn't mean the US Gov will allow it for India.
Also check the link I provided im my earlier post, it also says that they could be on offer, but only in the lite version without jammers.
I am not an expert, but if I'm not wrong all that would be left is a RWR and a Towed Decoy. These are available in EF too and the Rafale uses the integrated Spectra EWS, which also has similar RWR. So without the jammers, the Growler seems not so special or?
