I made this post as part of a conversation about the 2014 Vietnamese anti-china riots in another thread but it got deleted/censored. I guess it was off-topic? so I'll start a new thread and post it here:
Stop pretending to be naive. The CCP played a dirty trick against VietNam. The CCP had sent some agents to pay agitators to start some of those riots, especially those violent riots against Taiwanese companies. They want to target both VietNam and Taiwan.
There were some anti-VCP agents from abroad (Vietnamese from US) involved in those riots, but there were also agents sent from the CCP. The CCP wants to start violent riots to damage the VietNamese economy and destroy foreign investors confidence. They also wanted to break the VietNam-Taiwan ties.
Back then, the VCP was silly for still having some faith in the CCP "friendship" and didn't expect the CCP to play that kind of dirty trick. The VCP got caught off guard and the riots got out of control for a while. Some economic damage was done to VietNam and some innocent people die.
But thanks to that dirty game played by the CCP, the VCP has now realised that the CCP can never be trusted anymore. That is why last month, the VCP finally decided to join into a lawfare alliance with the Philippines-US. The CCP then had to send an official down to VN to speak some nice words to the VCP, even the CCP mouth piece media had to publish plenty of flowery articles about VietNam-China partnership and how it must go back to the correct path again.
But it's too late, that dirty game played by the CCP has already done its damage. The CCP dirty game got back-fired. Instead of breaking the VietNam-Taiwan ties, the VietNam-China ties is now broken. From now on, anything nice they say to each other will only be in pretense.
Well we all know both VN and China have similar government..
They have tight control over the riots..
If the government is not prohibiting the riots, it is encouraging..
I heard that VN PM send SMS to people to encourage that. Right?
Also in China, if Chinese government is not prohibiting the riots, it is actually encourage that.
Otherwise riots will be stopped at the very beginning..
