Why did the Indian ground defenses fired a Spyder SAM at a target flying within the Indian side of LOC ?. This is the point that has never been raised by Indian MOD or otherwise, at least not openly. Keep in mind that the Spyder SAMs, supplied by Israel to India has a maximum range of 20km.
As the details of operation Swift Retort gradually get leaked, the cause of Indian panic and desperation becomes obvious. Once again why fire a SAM over own airspace when you allegedly have own fighter jets in the area.
The whole scenario now confirms that the PAF actually crossed the LOC, not only to strike at Indian targets but also as a follow up.
It's now said that after IAF Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan crossed the LOC and ended up getting shot down, PAF pilot Squadron Leader Hassan and party went over to challenge the IAF, thus during this process S/L Hassan fired his AMRAAM at the IAF formation scoring a hit on the SU-30 thus forcing the rest of the IAF fighters to flee from the scene. Since no IAF aircraft was in a position to challenge the intruding PAF fighters, thus in desperation the Indian ground defenses fired at what they assumed to be a PAF aircraft but shot down their own helicopter in process. So yes, throwing the challenge in broad daylight, the PAF did cross the LOC on that fateful day.

its normal to alert whole air defence in surrounding areas . if helicopter didnt turn on friend and foe transponder it was pilot fault.

and no .... PAF didnt dare like this to went insider and stay inside IOK airspace for much long. it was only shoot and scoot

Its a big risk to venture into enemy air space just to make a point. Now that you have SOWs next it will be SOWs lobbed at each other.

After 10 months tumko kya tension ho gai hai..??
Tension tu tum ko lagey hey, main tu sirf new info share kar raha houn.

I'm sure the defense also know where they are shooting....in or out of border.

The Mirages did shoot'n scoot......followed up by the interceptors going in.

Dude Indian media itself reported in April that for few minutes Pakistani airforce enjoyed compelete air superiority in IoK that itself implied that there wasn't a single Indian aircraft to challenge paf. Also paf bombed Indian side on 6 different locations easily again they were not challenged despite of a warning a day earlier. It was a shock and awe moment for embarrassing IAF.

No one crossed the line deliberately and certainly no F-16s went in IOK.

Though they stayed in own side for sometime and challenged the IAF to come Head-On.

The real mission started after the operation i.e movement of airforce meanwhile keeping on guard to reply any misadventures.

Vipers in the North, vipers in the South...Vipers in the East and guess what,Vipers in the West.

Your Account is based on lot of wrong assumptions. Kindly refer to Kaiser Tufail Version and The SU-30 shotdown details plaque put up by PAF. Pakistani F-16 never crossed the LoC. SU-30 was vectored towards the strike package, hence Hassan Siddique fired at it to disperse it and it was the first volley of airbattle. Mig-21 shoot down came at the last when Su-30 and Mirages left the airspace.

SU-30 hit is still unverified. Until PAF releases the proof, The claim will just remain a claim.

That is not a confirmation of anything besides the fog of war.
