Fail to see how racism can be seen in this case here, directing a new guy to think along those lines might hurt him in the future. Clearly he made a mistake and let him accept and learn from it. Let him face up to his consequences than fall into desi trap of blaming others for it.

The law is his support, but he failed to follow what needed to be done.
Anyone blaming US or its laws is just misdirecting based on their flawed perception.
I would blame it on lack of understanding of law and how it works for you.

At no point did I absolve @Goritoes not being aware of what he was doing. Emphasis on where I mentioned immigrant fear instead of stating fait accompli.

I despise the Pakistani victim mentality but what I point out is knowing your rights and not being afraid in such situations regardless of who you are facing off with.
