If this snake says anything positive about IK - you know exactly where his true intentions are. The bottomline is our enemies know that the current system of political and military patronage will destroy our country. They are playing a long game, and in this game a change agent like Imran Khan can turn the tide. Army as an institution is critical for our national security. We should never hope or wish it is hurt. However the Army command and that even a small group has taken over the policy and structure. They are able to to do this because of the power that resides in one office. Everyone else is powerless. Not a single senior officer can bat an eyelid without the knowledge of Voldemort, and everyone is ducking and avoiding his glare hoping that he resigns and some semblance returns.
What is clear however that the structure of the military gives it the ability to hurt our country.
Pakistan Armed forces need to be reformed. Multiple commands need to be developed and made independent. CJCS needs to get real power. A new role of CDS needs to be formed. 3 or 4 commands and their Chiefs need to be put in place. Boards need to have a more merit based selection process and the totality of one's service needs to be looked at. Pakistan Army welfare programs need to be privatized, and their welfare program needs to kept limited to an investment fund that is run by industry experts and strong investment charters. PA bases and Cannts need to be moved out of major cities into tough middle of nowhere areas of the country to spur economic activity in downtrodden areas.
Men of war need to be men of war, not the sheepish and useless lot we are creating.

Exactly. Reforms are needed but for that you need 2/3 majority to pass bills and currently ik seems the only one who can possess that kind of majority via the public

The biggest problem isn’t generational occupations or not.
The problem is after Pakistan got independence from British it never got rid of the treacherous feudal’s that enabled British occupation and when making the army it kept the same soldiers who served British and same system that was in British army. Pakistan didn’t change shit from when it got independence from British. Bhuttos were the same feudal family that helped British occupation and after independence these traitors continue to rule us. The same generals who helped British army suppress Muslims fighting British occupation became the generals of Pakistan army. The same soldiers who had fought the khilafa for British then fought again in ww2 for British had become the soldiers in “Islamic” Republic of Pakistan.
Our parliament system and constitution is based off British. What did we get independence over if everything continued to be British? The army still has the same mentality of British Indian army. They still think of civilians the same way they use to when they served the British. They suffered special privileges when they were in British army so they don’t rebel and till this day they act like they still get those privileges. Pakistan inherited British Indian army. That’s the biggest issue. The British army was made with occupation in mine. You can’t expect good from an army created and made to be slaves since day 1. Their whole structure was the be loyal slaves. How can British Indian army’s continuation ever produce any good LEADERS. The British didn’t want this army to produce leaders because leaders threaten their occupation. They wanted loyal slaves to continue their occupation.
Pakistan after getting independence should have removed everything British from it and indigenized. There’s many examples of countries that were occupied yet they’ve gotten rid of every memory of occupation and fully indigenized their countries. Just look at Arabs they done a far better job of decolonization then us.
Since we are Islamic Republic of Pakistan and we claim British occupied us, we should get rid of British legacy and if needed embrace Mughal legacy and claim to be heirs of Mughal empire.
Lastly, stop making Islam a joke and finally decide if Pakistan will be Islamic or not. If we continue how we are right now, just remove Islamic from Pakistan’s name. Otherwise, actually become Islamic.

Exactly, and I said a long time ago, there need to be tough reforms in the whole Armed Forces institution that's part of the Pakistan government. I do not know why the JCSC didn't have all the powers vested from day one. The unchecked powers of COAS have caused more issues throughout the 75 years of history of the Armed Forces, and it's also been the main reason the Pakistan Navy never received the proper funds to develop; per historians of the Pakistan Navy, due to an idiot of a COAS before after the 1965 War.
On top, the JCSC should have a revolving seat between the three branches. Since the 1970s, 14 of 17 holders have been in the Army. That is not a proper representation of the various branches of the Armed Forces.

What you are pointing out is a failure of a good test. People should not be getting promoted based on how well they kiss *** in the first place. You should ideally have a good quantitative (not qualitative) criteria to promote people.
There should also be strict accountability that people are not allowed to abuse their power. One good way to do this is to have a solid test for promotion that is not influenced by qualitative factors.

All this raises a lot of questions on upbringing of these posters. When one gets into badmaashi (بدمعاشی) then one ends up having such a low quality productions. What a shame!
