According to Geo News :

Director General ISI, Pakistan's top intelligence agency, Lt General Ahmed Shuja Pasha during the in-camera joint session of the Parliament Friday admitted intelligence failure in the Abbottabad incident in which al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was killed, Geo News reported.

"The ISI chief said he 'surrenders'( word used by information Minister ) himself before the parliament," according to Federal Minister for Information Firdaus Ashiq Awan who was herself present at the in-camera joint sitting of the parliament.

She said: "The DG ISI has accepted responsibility of the (Abbottabad) incident and is ready to present himself for accountability on any forum including the Parliament."

Firdaus Awan said no other country has the kind of technology possessed by the US.

living on incubator(extension) DG ISI also said we have outdated technology, meaning give us more funds !!

His agency also failed to counter today's suicide blast because of which 80 + Pakistan lost their lives. He should have resigned anyways.

Parliament and it's members are jokers, no need to surrender in front of it.

and what does that makes us ? :)

this is not about honour, its a shame to begin with...

are you ready to blame local residents also, for not reporting suspicious people? I'll give them benefit of the doubt because Abbotabad is a sleepy place where people just kinda mind their own business. But still.

and yes, I agree it is a shame and that is why I think he will be answerable to the people. Let parliament decide a due course --when they arent busy shouting and acting like school-children amongst eachother.

will anybody in NATO or Afghan govt. be held accountable for letting that man slip out of their collective hands from Tora Bora some years back?

he should come on live tv and talk to nation rather then talk to these jokers and party worshipers . we all know well Parliament is full of BS .nation want to know .

^^^^^^^^

i personally would opine that that is fair, and would set a good precedent.....

especially at a time where the President will run to write an Editorial in Washington Post before addressing his ''own'' people

completely agree...instead of this in camera BS....they should come on PTV for one hour...and defend their case...DGMO,air chief,DG ISI should come and present themselves on PTV.and even if it is in the parliament building, there should be cameras so that the public can view....and it is much more better rather than writing in washington post in US or addressing the national assembly of pakistan on state television....a assembly of that pakistan in which half the population does not know english!!!...

on a side note....did anybody notice the SPF bell 412 land before the MI 17....were they people who caem to allay fears of nukes getting into wrong hands....SPF is in charge of these nukes as far as i know.,...and that heli was theirs ....confirmed,

Resign do bhai bhashan na do.
Well He has said he will resign immediately and retire from Army if Politicians want him to retire and appoint someone else and also asked for forgiveness from Parliament and Nation for such a huge intelligence failure.
